Nigeria's Surging Foodstuff Prices..

Which food item is still high and has refused to drop? Which food iten has dropped in price and still dropping? When last did you visit the Market? Can you let us know the prices?

    Frozen foods, Rice are not dropping.
    Garri (paint rubber)dropped from 3,500 to 2,800
    Tomatoes(paint rubber) dropped from 4,500 to 3,800 as at last week.

    These days you have to buy in large quantity if you have the means. Seems the prices change weekly.

    Rice and beans have dropped and keep dropping.
    Garri too dropped.

    Food that have increased in price and have reduced; Yam, beans, palm oil, sweet potatoes, as at today. Garri reduced but it increased again today.

    Kings refill vegetable oil; #97000 to 100,500
    A crate of Egg;#5800_#6500
    Oloyin beans Grade A
    __ #60,000 for a bag
    Palm oil 25L _#50,000
    Garri oyo__#46,000 for 22 paints.
    Most spices are still the same price per roll or carton.
    All noodles have increased except indomitable noodles.

  10. Red and yellow bell peppers are on the high side. I had to use abeg before it was sold at N1200 each. Beans sef is still high o. Onions sef no wan come down.

    Groundnut oil just keeps increasing..now #3000 per bottle

    Tomatoes dey drop... bought a custard bucket for 1,400 today
    Rice keeps increasing..

  17. The hausa yam sellers now kind of beg us to buy yam as no one is looking their way. You find items cheaper in superstores like sahad and hmedix than in the markets, why is that? They just fix prices anyhow.

    Beverages like milk and the rest are going higher
    Veg oil is going higher
    Crayfish and fish are going higher in prices.

  27. A lot of us are not talking about balanced diet now.Sometimes I use to wonder if there is anything government can do about the price surge.
    Things like crayfish,palm oil et c are seasonal and usually expensive at a certain time of the year but now reverse is the case

    Rice,meat,fish,egg are beyond poor man's reach now .It's only God that can help us at this point. God is our great provider and He will surely provide for us in Jesus name.
