LP National Chairman Abure Denies Corruption Allegations + Calls A Sitting Gov 'Cricket'

Is it by force to be a Chairman??

The National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure has issued a strong challenge to the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi and other former aspirants, demanding that they provide evidence of financial support made to him or the party during the general elections.
Speaking in a video broadcast by Symfoni on Tuesday, Abure categorically denied receiving any funds for personal use from any candidate, including Obi.

Addressing party members in the Federal Capital Territory, Abure said:

“I want to challenge all of them. I saw some of them on television talking about corruption. Let any of them from Peter Obi down come forward and publicly declare what they personally gave to me or the party.

“Who brought the money? Who was it given to? Where was it sent? I challenge them today to come out boldly with or without evidence and say it. Otherwise, let them forever remain silent.”
“As a leader, I kept quiet thinking they were making mistakes and would eventually come around.
“When issues about election agents and funds came up, I said nothing because I believed I should accept the good, the bad, and the ugly within our fold,” he said.
“But now that some have crossed the line, I have no choice. If they provoke me further, I will reveal everything. When I open my mouth, they will stink like rotten eggs no one wants to touch,” he said.

Turning his criticism toward Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, the Labour Party’s only governor, Abure accused him of contributing nothing to the party’s coffers during the election.

“That governor who is jumping like a cricket from one point to another, we did not collect a dime from him. If he gave money to anyone, let him come forward and say so.
“When we met at Transcorp, he asked me, ‘Chairman, what do I do for you?’ I told him, ‘Nothing. Use your money for your campaign.’”

Abure insisted that the party had received no financial support from Otti or other elected representatives, apart from a few exceptions.
He also denied all corruption allegations, claiming the leadership turned down billions in bribes and withstood immense political pressure during and after the 2023 elections.

“We rejected offers despite the influence of those who made them. But today, those same individuals are leading the campaign to oust us,” he said.

    2. What really has there been to celebrate about LP?, their everyday quarrels or the everyday defection from the party.
No matter how much obidients try to twist it, it's a negative to PO that he always avoids taking charge, he can't take charge or control his 'obidient' mob and he can't take charge of his political party.
How will you then navigate and lead the complex country called Nigeria, with very diverse interests?, is it by jist quoting statistics.
Even.parents step in firmly when their chosen are trying to go astray, it's part of the duties of a leader

    3. Please post the positives like the party doing send forth parties for the tens of defecting law makers that it has thrown out with it's chaos. Let us know how your party stakeholders stepped in to stem the tide of defections and avoid crisis that has lingered till now. Post the date of your REC and convention so we can admire the asoebi. Do one about the governor of the state agreeing with the ruling party at every turn and reminding you that Tinubu removed subsidy on day 1 as you desired and he is getting 3 times what his predecessor got from FAC.

Your party has not sorted out it's secretary or chairman issue a year to the polls, the saintly caretaker is wanted by the EFCC and unwanted by your party's constitution. The leading stakeholder has cocooned himself amongst party members within his zone and people who remember Rivers, Bayelsa and Zamfara elections have headed to more serious establishments yet , you are refusing free expo.

    5. Ps Stella, you have lost credibility. You cannot make people lose their voice because you are a turncoat for money. That goes against journalistic integrity.
Look at stella saying someone is on the wrong side of every story? You have no moral compass to speak

  4. Politicians all over the world, with what I am seeing in western world politics in the last few months are more or less the same. Use people and narrative to divide the people, garner votes and do what they like. Trust Politicians at your perils.

  5. 14:31, Obi should take charge as the party leader or the oldest in the party. You think the party is a family affair, even adults in families fight and only reconcile when they feel like. Obi should control adults like him when they don’t want or when what they do is for their selfish interest. Say something else or wait till he ports due to the issues so you will have another negative things to say.
