Delta State Gov Oborevwori Honored As Grand Patron Of Ibori Golf And Country Club

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori was on Saturday honoured as Grand Patron of the Ibori Golf and Country Club, Asaba, during a dinner marking the end of the 2025 Governor’s Invitational Golf Tournament.

The event was held in celebration of his 62nd birthday. 

In his remarks, the Governor thanked the club for the honour and commended the organisers and sponsors for a successful event. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to peace, security, and positioning Delta as a hub for not just oil and gas, but also hospitality, tourism, and sports. 

Governor Oborevwori highlighted Delta’s victories at the National Youth Games and National Sports Festival in Ogun State, describing them as proof of the state’s sporting strength. He added that Delta remains investor-friendly, citing timely contractor payments and consistent development across the state.
