According to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, the incident happened on May 7, 2026. A dispatch rider delivered the package, which was marked “confidential” and addressed directly to Alebiosu. Security staff at the residence accepted it and later handed it over to him.
When Alebiosu opened the parcel, he found two rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition inside an envelope. There was no letter, note, or any information about who sent it. He reported the matter to the police immediately.
The police have started a full investigation. They are using forensics and other methods to trace the sender and understand why it was sent. No arrests have been made so far......
