In a recent interview the 52-year old thespian said she does not have children and explained that her single status is not by choice.
She said: “I don’t have children, unfortunately. Marriage is important. Marriage is simple. It’s something that you do in the house of God. You go to church, call everyone that love you and say those vows that you will cherish and do the the rest of your life with. I haven’t found the person I would do the rest of my life with. I did found. But he died. And I haven’t found since then. And I can’t lie, I don’t know how to live a lie. I want everything to be in truthfulness. I want to be true to myself and God. I don’t think I would want to marry anyone that I won’t be able to stay with them forever

It doesn’t make you, women, it’s not the end and be all of your life.But it’s also an important thing to do especially as you get older. ReplyDeleteIt's very depressing growing old alone. Just like you Bimbo, money is no problem to me. But I have been unlucky..
In my case it's getting very frustrating cause I live all by myself in a big apartment with no one to talk with .
No friends, no family. I have been alone for all I know. They say it's foundation issue. I ran for my dear life and sanity away from people depending on me for their daily bread and not caring if I have my own life. No one knows my house. If they know it's more of problem and demand. My phone can only ring if they need help. And that's it.

She's in her 50's before she gets to 70 the child would be an adult, and of course, 70 can still be strong, so what's wrong if she gets to 90yrd and her child cleans her bum bum? You mean you can't clean your own parents bumbum? Mind you, not everybody gets bedridden at old age or suffer in sicknesses that comes with old age. You will not allow people have a taste of the joy that comes with having a child of their own because you don't know how it feels not having a child. Besides, is cleaning of bumbum a death sentence? Is it not better that the child has a family of her own rather than remain in motherless babies home? Have you seen those kids roaming the streets in the city with no place to call a home? I mean, kids birthed by beggers in the market places,?

Talking of adoption, it's not in all cases that it turns out well.
ReplyDeleteI did even before I got to this advanced age . Never knew I will not have a child of my own. But after training the child. She is an adult now ,working and doing well abroad.
She has cut off from me. I wasted my youth on her. Men ran away from me thinking I already had a baby. I did not mind. Cause I poured all my love and money on her
I pray she comes around some day. I am getting old. Far above 50.Not married. I pray for companion everyday. But no suitable one.
I know someone in my church then that had a son and a daughter -left the church in 2009, knew when the daughter got married in 2015 I only found out last year that the girl was adopted, and she had stopped communicating with her adoptive mom
