According to what happened, After Chioma and Davido did their traditional wedding, in 2024, Chioma returned with her Parents and sister to the US and her parents stayed for over a year before travelling back to Nigeria (Which was a big mistake)
As soon as they returned to Nigeria, their visas were revoked and a ban placed on them because they did not keep to the terms of the 5 year visas handed them....
According to explanations given, Chioma's parents were not supposed to stay so long in the US without returning to Nigeria.....
''It is a pity now because they cannot attend their daughters wedding in Florida and there is really no trusted person to take care of the twins, the way they did...The terms of the visa was explained to them when they got it but i guess they may have forgotten''
I hope they get to watch the wedding on live cam on Saturday.....
This is painful.
ReplyDeleteWell, they should watch it on live camera like you said (SDK).
They broke the rule. The fact u have 5yrs dose not mean u are allowed to stay 5yrs straight. I have 5yrs,i stay 5and hlf months then come back, spend 4months then go back.
DeleteAre her parents unintelligent? Everybody knows this rule, every single person who is privileged to get a US visa knows that you shouldn’t stay up to 6 months when you’re on a visiting visa. You leave before six months, then return in a few months. Not that their in-law cannot afford plane tickets, they just chose to be unnecessarily dumb.
DeleteOr did they think different law would apply to them because of Davido? Do they think US is Nigeria?
This whole thing makes me look at them with funny eyes. Most Igbo men will not abandon their homes and go live for a year in the home of their son-in-law, it is improper. Fia! This is the same reason they sat down and allowed their child to be following Davido without a life of her own. They should go away abeg, irritating behavior
Rest please. What if by chance any one of them were sick? Have you thought of that.
DeleteChai
Delete17:32 you sound like an untrained child
DeleteOh... Eeya!
ReplyDeleteE sweet Dem, Dem com overstay.
Oversweetness o 😄
DeleteIt is well.

So knowing this why didn’t they make preparations that would accommodate her family i cannot imagine myself getting married without my parents .
ReplyDeleteTo me, I could see that as selfishness on the part of Davido. If it were his own parents, would he not change the location?
Delete© TEEJAY
You cannot imagine yourself getting married without your parents? What if they kpai before you get married? You will remain single forever.
DeleteYou must be a small child
Don’t mind all these over emotional people. Like haven’t had dad given her away.
DeleteI don’t know why they must do it where her parents can’t show … unless they found out about the visa later. This makes no sense
DeleteIf I were Davido, for the sake of love, I would have used another country than the US knowing about this. There are other better and beautiful destinations overseas.
ReplyDeleteParents missing a daughter's D day isn't something nice not when they're alive.
I wish them a successful celebrations.

No, Chioma was the one who was supposed to speak up and make sure their arranged for another location. They are HER parents.
DeleteSo what is the reason for doing a wedding in a country where the Bride's parents won't be able to attend? This doesn't make sense at all. It's just show off.
ReplyDeleteWho will Walk the bride down the aisle?
Chioma and David are not serious.
Grandparents Why Nahhhhhh
ReplyDeleteMake Them Kuku Do The White Wedding For Naija nah..
So Painful
Hello iya Boys
Another angle my dear.
DeleteThey can choose another wedding destination 💍
Adunni
They made a big mistake by over staying there.
ReplyDeleteDavido would have chosen another country that will accommodate his inlaws.
Congratulations to them.
Quite unfortunate
ReplyDeleteIf it is so why didn't they move the wedding to Nigeria or to a country her parents can travel to, I can't imagine not having my parents at my wedding while they are still alive.
ReplyDeleteThey should have tried another country Dubai or something. This is not good enough
ReplyDeletegetting married without your parents and they alive, they should have chose another country.
ReplyDeleteSo these ppl's private business is on front street now. This information did not need to be publicly known. Let us think about everyone, not just ourselves when we are planning any event.
ReplyDeleteToo bad
ReplyDeleteThis is not good at all
ReplyDeleteWhy can’t they both choose another country to wed since America is out of it cos of her parents? Unless she’s comfortable with her parents not attending her wedding..the resources are there to wed in any other country, there are beautiful islands they can wed now..na wah oh❗️I can’t even imagine that my parents will be alive and won’t attend my wedding, for what exactly ⁉️
ReplyDeleteChioma should have made it compulsory to change d destination of d wedding..
ReplyDeleteIt seems d lady sef no get say for dat Adeleke family...She looks like someone dat can be easily controlled around..
Let her enjoy d Adeleke money
Hmmm
ReplyDeleteThey should have chosen another country.
Why did the parents break the term of their visas. That's the way we Nigerians behave, and we turned around to swing blame. If Chioma is comfortable with the arrangement, all suggestions should be kept to yourself.
ReplyDeletePerhaps they got caught up in being there with her after the twins were born. Considering the tragedy this family went through not so long ago, them staying longer can be understood. Sometimes ppl get caught up in the emotion of the moment forgetting important matters. I can see why they overstayed, probably thought it was all worth it and took the risk.
DeleteI remember one time Oprah had a show episode where she took ppl on a plane and they travelled about and one guy lost his job, because he didn't want to miss out on the adventure of the moment. In fact, he probably did the right thing, jobs will always be available but an opportunity like that is literally once in a lifetime.
This is so sad.
ReplyDeleteThey’ve done the wedding her parents were supposed to attend and that’s the traditional wedding in Nigeria, it is not compulsory for them to be in this one. Yall should quit with this nonsensical archaic mentality. Davido has done more than enough to respect Chioma’s parents with all the celebrations in Nigeria. Did they tie them down in the US that made them stay 1 year?
ReplyDelete@13:42, your conment is the only one here that makes good sense! The others are all noise and sentiments!
DeleteI just tire! Overstaying was their choice cos mo one can tell me David and chioma forgot about the dates. I'm also sure they got return tickets since it's not a permanent stay so? Also, it's not a must that they attend this one.
Delete13.42, Simple! Let them face the consequences of their actions!
DeleteTheir wedding, their choice.
ReplyDeleteWetin concern bongo fish with raincoat.
Davido family is domineering, they don’t allow Chioma to choose or allow her to do her own thing, they control everything about her
ReplyDeletePlease when did she tell you all these?
DeleteWelcome on board the cockroach in their cupboard 🙌
DeleteNnaa e, this chioma’s family tire person o. Why would they be belittling their family because of David,s influence and affluence why ?first allowing their young daughter getting into that kinda union then this. David have the money to fly them in and out of the US at will so why did they overstay. In as much as I like them together but it seems chioma don’t have a loving family, more like they’re around her because of her affiliation with David.and she hasn’t learnt her lessons yet, leaving the children and up and about with our beloved randy David.she doesn’t seem worried as I’ve seen very recent videos of her unbothered. May we never be financially disabled so we teach our daughters self worth and value
ReplyDeleteMy exact sentiments!
DeleteThis particular action by her family paints them in an unfavorable light. Makes me question if they are even the ones influencing this girl to stay with Davido for the benefits?
I thought they say the parents are comfortable or rich? They are behaving hungry. Which Igbo man will leave his abode and go to his son in law’s domicile for a year? When he’s not on hospital admission? Nna odikwa egwu!
Make una no vex, the story dey pepper me! See them now missing out on an important event.
Oh dear ! Davido married a good woman. If na me wey no be good woman , i go carry face throw tantrum 😭😭. I need to learn
ReplyDeleteCalmness all the way
DeleteI don't think they will be the first people that have wedded abroad before and one set of parents could not attend because of no visa. Enough of the sentiments. We just like to drink Panadol for another person headache.
DeleteGud woman untop parents that won't attend her wedding.. it's some how abeg, but it's well.
DeleteOmoh... see advice upon advice on another person's wedding. Wedding that the couple must have started planning since last year and even made advance non refundable payments on somethings just to secure it. Do you people even know when the cancellation of the visas occurred.. they should have taken it to another country. Its sooo easy to advice/ spend someone's money behind the keyboards... make we dey reason somethings as if we are the actors in the situation..
ReplyDeleteI no believe this story. This is a nonsense plot to cover the fact that her parents can't attend the wedding! Believe this write up at your own peril. Why is Chiomas parents always consciopiously absent in all she does????
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmmm. Are you saying that they are forbidden from public events?
DeleteDavido should have done the wedding in Abuja.
ReplyDeleteI personally do not blame Chioma's parents for overstaying oh.
Whenever my Auntie comes, she always complains when it is time to return home.
The frustration dealing with generators, fuel, insecurity, etc is enough to make one forget to return home oh.
Having said all that, Marco Rubio and his cronies were too harsh. They should have let them come but with a verbal warning. To then cancel and ban them for an entire ten years is just too much.
The punishment do not fit the crime.
