Pastor Demands $1,000 From Member Because He Prayed For Her Visa

A Nigerian pastor has sparked outrage on social media after allegedly demanding $1,000 from a female church member, threatening that her daughter could be deported if the money was not sent within seven days. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The pastor claimed he was the reason the woman’s daughter, who relocated to Australia two years ago, was able to secure her visa. He further accused the family of showing ingratitude by buying property abroad without first appreciating him.

During a recent ministration, the pastor reportedly revealed that the woman’s daughter was facing challenges concerning land ownership in Australia. After she confirmed the issue, he insisted on speaking to the daughter directly and demanded $1,000 be transferred to his account before the end of the week.

According to him, only his prayers could resolve her property problem and ensure her stay abroad remained secure.

In his own words, he said:

“She dey buy land, she no buy for me — me wey pray?”

He warned that failure to comply would result in him praying for her deportation back to Nigeria.

  3. You can pray for someone's blessings and you couldn't pray yourself into wealth rather you want to tap from another person's hustle.

So many deranged persons in Nigeria. There should be a clamour for more psychiatric homes to be built in this country.

  12. The woman had better give him the money and distance herself from that man. He may make do his threats and make that girl to be deported if they are not strong in prayers. Reason is, most of these so called pastors use juju. They have all sorts of juju in their possession including what Yorubas call afoshe (talk and do). They just spit on it or lick it and command whatever they want to happen.

    1. It is a big LIE. There is no girl abroad - that was a drama staged within Nigeria to give the impression that he prays for people to get visas. Gullible and senseless people will rush him now and he will dupe them.

  17. Jabez could have gone to a priest or a prophet but he prayed himself and so, no man can take glory.

The lady in Australia should approach the throne of mercy herself and get born again. There's authority and rights in Christ Jesus. Even before she prays, He will answer. She will receive authority to command and prophesy the needed ease as well as the grace and wisdom for her situation.

These shrines practicing simony need to be avoided. Without spiritual covering that only comes from Christ, they will be the ones to create problems then keep their entrapment disguised as solution behind a paywall.

Which single intervention did Jesus charge for? Rather, he gave himself after serving us for 33 years.

  21. Stupid pastor of the year, know your God by yourself before any pastor will take glory that belongs to God in your life.

  22. Signs of the times. She took herself up to go seek special prayers so she under his hand. These demands feel criminal though, not to mention ungodly. He serves a different master. Better she had asked Ai for answers, at least it’s free😂

However, I fully believe that if you asked for special prayers you are to give offering to the church, especially if you got what you desired. It just seems the right thing to do. You don’t have to put money directly into in the pastor’s hand but give a special offering bigger than you usually would have and put your name on it so they know. But that’s my own mindset on things, everyone free to believe as they see fit.

Be sure you understand the church’s teachings, beliefs and purpose before you attend any altar call and let anyone touch you. Better to remain untouched before you go under covenant with what you didn’t intend to sign up for.
