He is to be arraigned on three counts....
Count One alleges that during a February 13 appearance on Arise TV’s Prime Time Programme El‑Rufai admitted that he and associates unlawfully intercepted the communications of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, contrary to Section 12(1) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Amendment Act, 2024...
Count Two accuses him of knowing and associating with individuals involved in the unlawful interception without reporting them to security agencies, in breach of Section 27(b) of the same Act...
Count Three charges him with using technical equipment or systems to compromise public safety and national security by intercepting the NSA’s communications, an offence under Section 131(2) of the Nigerian Communications Act 2003..
The Federal High Court is expected to hear the case in the coming days as the government proceeds with prosecution.

There are some people in Nigeria who are using the leverage they've got to frustrate good intentions of the government, and the federal government is scared just because they are afraid some sections of the country will not vote them in,if not what is difficult in tracing the money the bandits are using to run their operations? And what is stopping the government from tracking their communication? But what I believe is by the time God is ready and willing to intervene, nobody would be able to stop him and it will be brutal.
DeleteI thought they were close. Was it not El Rufai that saved Nuhu when he was booted out by the then Kano governor?
