The agreement was signed at an exclusive event hosted by Mrs. Mojisola Hunponu‑Wusu, Founder and President of Woodhall Capital, and witnessed by top African leaders including Professor Benedict Oramah, President of Afreximbank, and Mrs. Kanayo Awani, Executive Vice President of the Intra‑African Trade Bank. Also present was filmmaker and global creative force Funke Akindele.
Dabota Lawson described the moment as the result of mentorship, vision, and divine timing, and recalled that “about a year ago, I sat with Mrs. Mojisola Hunponu‑Wusu at Harrods in London… To see that conversation evolve into a structured international facility within a year is a testament to the power of vision, mentorship, and faith.”
She emphasized that Dabota Cosmetics is “not simply a beauty brand… It is a platform that represents African creativity, enterprise, and the possibility of global scale.”
Lawson expressed gratitude to her team and Woodhall Capital’s advisory group, calling the milestone “years of disciplined building, reinvention, and faith in God’s timing… By God’s grace, we are building something that will endure and open doors for generations to come.”.
With the agreement now in place, Dabota Cosmetics has entered a new phase aimed at taking African beauty and entrepreneurship to the global stage.
