Unfortunately,I have heard this twice, first my brother who they did everything for ,told my mother.
ReplyDeleteYears later, I was robbed, and slowly crept into emptiness and I was told by my mother she didn't tell me to do all I did for her. It still hurts because I literally made each and every decision of my life based on pleasing her, turns out, no money ,no friends.
Then learn from it and put yourself first going forward. Don't mind if you are called selfish or any other names, put yourself and your needs first! A lesson should teach us which road to never walk down again, now you know when it comes to family let everyone sort out their ownself and focus on YOU!!!!

My mother looked on and couldn’t put them in check as she was scared of them
The many golden opportunities I lost because I listened to my mother’s bad advice

The many times I didn’t take advantage of self-improvement chances because of my family
I am what I am today because I did everything with my family’s welfare at the back of my mind
But when it got to the turn of my younger siblings, they looked out for their best interest in all they did
