First, get a BP machine at home for monitoring.
Delete*A hand full of zobo leaves
*Cloves - 5 pieces is fine
*Ginger - Just cut small
*Garlic
Boil together for 15 mins and drink a cup morning and evening.
*Don't stop the BP drugs though.
*Monitor the current numbers with the machine.
*Go to YouTube and search for 15mins workout to reduce BP, use it for indoor exercises and add early morning walks if possible. Good luck

DeleteI won't even suggest that automatic bp machine cuz it doesn't give accurate result, I have it, so I know, I go to any pharmacy or chemist that uses that manual machine, the one they put on their ear and pump with the hands gives accurate results.
Your hubby sounds like a worry wart, encourage him to take it easy and stop popping those pills like it's going out of fashion, high BP gives signs, he should be sure before taking medication.
