Are you confused and asking if he is not supposed to hand over in 2028? let me explain what this man with Tortoise sense has done.....
Governor Hope Uzodimma’s second term as Imo State Governor runs until 2028, so he’s still expected to serve out that tenure.
However, Nigerian governors are allowed to contest other positions while in office, provided they meet party and electoral guidelines.
So, his participation and victory in the Imo West APC senatorial primary means he’s securing a political path for after his governorship ends and not that he’s leaving office now.

It’s just a strategic move ahead of 2027/2028, to position himself for the Senate once his term expires.
Smart move huh? It is allowed!

We keep rotating the same set of people as leaders
