The victims were taken on May 15, 2026, from schools in Ahoro‑Esinele and Yawota communities. About 39 pupils and seven teachers were abducted, and more than two weeks later, they remain in captivity, causing deep fear and frustration among teachers and parents.
The NUT national leadership issued a clear directive to the Oyo State wing, instructing all public school teachers to stay away from classrooms until the victims return home. The union described the situation as heartbreaking and unacceptable, insisting that the safety of teachers and learners must come first.

Hmmmm🤔if this action will bring a solution to them
ReplyDeleteGod abegoo 🙏🙏
NUT just woke up from their slumber. The government should send out the military and end this already, we are all scared.
ReplyDeleteI'm just so heartbroken. Lord help your people.
ReplyDeleteThe Oyo branch of the NUT is coming under intense pressure to disregard the directive from national executives of the teacher's union. Some people can be so heartless. Even with lives of young children at stake, they are more concerned with making sure their principal doesn't look bad.
ReplyDeleteBut here's news for them. He DOES look bad and has appeared so few months after he got into office. Nothing should be spared in rescuing those children. This level of government incompetence is astounding.
God please intervene 🙏
ReplyDeleteThis is so heartbroken
May God come through for them. It breaks my heart when I see the videos online.
ReplyDeleteLord come to the rescue of the teachers and the innocent children.
ReplyDeleteIt is Well !!!
ReplyDeleteSo sad! I can only imagine the pain of those in captivity.
ReplyDeleteGod please have mercy.
ReplyDeleteMariam.
It's the least they can do to show support for their colleagues.
ReplyDeleteMay God intervene.
Each time i imagine the condition and state of mind of those innocent captives, i shudder and fear grips me. We can't continue like this.
