Oyo State Gov Makinde Confirms Abducted Students And Teachers Still In Old Oyo National Park

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has confirmed that the students and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area remain inside the Old Oyo National Park, 27 days after they were kidnapped.

Makinde said intelligence reports show the victims are still being held within the vast forest, which spans parts of 10 local government areas. He noted that the park’s difficult terrain has slowed down rescue operations, but security agencies continue to work tirelessly to secure the victims’ release.

The governor urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information and encouraged residents to support security agencies with credible tips that could aid the ongoing operation.
