FROM THURSDAY MORNING SPONTANEOUS POST

Dear Men, Who Told You That Feeling Is Weakness?
Somewhere along the way, many of us were sold a lie.
We were told that real men don't cry. Real men don't talk about their fears. Real men carry their burdens in silence and somehow emerge stronger for it.
But look around.

Men are struggling. Men are lonely. Men are burning out. Men are ending their own lives at alarming rates. Yet many of us still cling to the same tired script that tells us vulnerability is weakness.
It isn't.
The strongest men I know are not the loudest. They are not the most aggressive. They are not the ones who dominate every room.
They are the men who can say, "I'm not okay."
They are the fathers who apologise to their children. The husbands who admit they need help. The sons who call their friends when life feels too heavy to carry alone..and I am one!
Toxic masculinity doesn't make men stronger. It makes men prisoners. It locks us inside ourselves until the walls become impossible to escape.
And while we're talking about it, misogyny hurts men too.
When we teach boys that women are beneath them, we also teach them that compassion, gentleness, empathy, and emotional intelligence are somehow feminine traits to be rejected. We rob them of half their humanity.

A healthy man is not less of a man because he is kind.
A healthy man is not less of a man because he cries.
A healthy man is not less of a man because he asks for help.
He is more complete.
To every man reading this: you do not have to prove your masculinity through silence, anger, or emotional isolation.
Your feelings are not your enemy.
Your vulnerability is not your weakness.
And the courage to speak up may be the very thing that saves your life.

WEIRD FACTS

--- More than 1 in 5 teenagers experience some level of depression during their teens.

--- Hardest question to answer: "Describe yourself?"
---- Everyone has three lives: a public life, a private life, and a secret life

---- A Japanese zoo spent four years trying to mate a pair of hyenas before they eventually realized they were both males.

---- When maturity hits you, silence is better than arguing.

------ Going to sleep at the same time every night increases your chances of achieving a good night's sleep.

------ The difference between infatuation and love is that the first is when you find somebody absolutely perfect, whereas love is realizing that they aren't but it doesn’t matter.

NIGERIAN CHURCHES THAT REFUSE TO PREACH THAT DIVORCE IS OKAY AND NORMAL SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE DAMAGE THEIR COUNSELLING HAS CAUSED TO GENERATIONS OF WOMEN.

From today, the Nigerian government should mandate all churches in Nigeria to include the following in their marriage counselling programmes:
That divorce is accepted within their church. That the Bible recognizes divorce. That Moses discussed divorce. That Jesus discussed divorce. That Paul discussed divorce. That women can remarry after divorce. And that women will not be stigmatized, isolated or treated as a second-class Christian because they got divorced.
Every intending couple should be told clearly that marriage is important, but human life, safety, dignity and wellbeing are more important.

In fact, any church that tells a woman to endure abuse, violence, coercion, persecution or destruction in the name of "for better for worse" should be held accountable for the consequences of that advice. And shall be closed down and the pastor prosecuted in court.

And mother should also start teaching their daughters that divorce is not the end of life. That divorce is not the unpardonable sin. That divorce is not a mark of failure. That divorce can simply mean a relationship did not work out. Divorce is no different from carrying over a course in school. That divorce it not different from a failed business. And most importantly, Dad should tell their girls that they can come back home if they discover that the man they marry is an asshole.
Divorce is normal. Divorce is okay. And nobody should be shamed for choosing safety, dignity, peace and life over endless suffering.

WOMEN NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU LOVE YOUR MAN, PLEASE DON'T DO THESE THINGS TO PLEASE HIM

A woman who values herself teaches others how to treat her. Love deeply, but never at the cost of your peace, dignity, or self-worth.

1.Lose your self-respect to keep him happy.
2.Ignore your boundaries because you're afraid of losing him.
3.Abandon your dreams and goals for his comfort.
4.Accept disrespect, insults, or abuse in the name of love.
5.Change who you are completely just to fit his expectations.
6.Cut off family and friends because he demands it.
7.Stay silent about your feelings to avoid upsetting him.
8.Compromise your values and morals for his approval.
9.Carry the entire relationship alone while he makes no effort.
10.Settle for less than you deserve because you're afraid to start over.

LESSON: True love should never require you to lose yourself. The right relationship encourages growth, respect, trust, and mutual effort—not sacrifice of your identity.

  3. Little gist

I celebrated my 40th birthday few weeks ago, we didn't do anything special, hubby just sent me some money and I ended up using it to arrange food for us and the kids to mark that day. My husband is a very kind person, he tries his best for us at all time. There's nothing I need that he doesn't give me . He's not a suprise suprise person but he loves taking good care of me. We've been married for 17 years and we've never had any major issues apart from normal couple quarrel so I'm good.

Anyway to the main gist . Hoz younger brother's wife celebrated her own 40th recently and the husband did a suprise party for her ,we don't live in the same town,so they posted it on family WhatsApp. I commented and says " I love this, this is beautiful, awwnn etc on the videos. Since then my husband has been feeling guilty thinking maybe I feel less loved because he didn't do anything special for me, since then it's been form long love messages on how much he loves me etc, me I understand what he's trying to say,but me commenting on those videos doesn't even mean I want something like that ,it's just normal I made such comment to make them feel good, Im okay and I feel loved already,I don't need validation, they like posting intimate videos,I like it for them,I'm not jealous or want that. Anyway this man has been buying gifts , dipping into your savings without telling me. I don't know how else to tell him in okay, I have called him to tell him he's giving me everything o want but this man no dey hear word. He got me a very expensive phone and call it belated happy birthday gift. Mr man bills dey front o, hmmm 🧐

On Monday, Kdrama fans worldwide got some heartbreaking news. A couple we had all been rooting for split after 14 years. We were all expecting wedding bells but got a shocker instead. Apparently, he proposed twice, but she wanted time to focus on her career. She's in her late 30s. He's in his early 40s. That shocker news makes me wonder if career trumps 14 years of love and companionship. I don't know why I'm so baffled that they invested 14 years, only for it to seem like it was for nothing. Hian!

Day 1, Monday: Career talk by three facilitators from different field.
Day 2, Tuesday: Career tour to Dove Media and CIE plant in Redemption City.
Day 3, Wednesday: It's a no school bag day/ old school/open house. The learners dressed in old school clothes with many of them improvising with sack bag, cartoon, baskets, buckets to bring their books and food pack to school, it was fun filled yesterday. Thank you, Jesus, for it success.

    Good evening fam.

  35. Pls, how do I naturally cure high blood pressure? I have tried drinking unsweetened zobo, but nothing improved

First of, I hardly sleep. This was something that started in my teenage years. I used to have heart palpitations too, which later stopped. It started in my teenager years too. For weeks now, I haven’t slept well or at all.

Recently I went to check and I was told it was 165/80 or something. It later increased to 180. I got scared and quickly bought BP drugs which made it dropped to 160. I later went to the hospital to see a doctor concerning it. He gave me another BP drugs and sleeping drugs to use along side the one I bought earlier.

When I used all the drugs given and bought, I was so weak and thought I would die. So I didn’t use for two days cos of the weakness I felt.

So this morning I went to the pharmacy I usually check, to check again, the first trial it read 136, I was so happy. Only for the pharmacist to say he would like to check again and this time, it increased to 165. I was so shocked that how come the sudden increase. He checked for the third time and it increased again to 175. I don’t know if it’s their BP monitor that is malfunctioning or my BP is just increasing anyhow. My mum has it and few of my siblings.

I am a 35 years old lady and not married yet. This BP issue, lack of proper sleep and palpitations is actually making me get more anxious. I even get scared checking it, cos I am always told it’s high

Pls help me out. It’s really weighing me down. I do not want die of high BP😭

    2. You can go to another place and check. Sometimes those machines are not accurate.
What makes you not be able to sleep?
      Are you lonely?
      Worries?

    3. Better check that they did not manipulate the machines to sell their dugs to you.

In this day and age, you should have your own device.

Imagine going to Pharmacy to check your weight, when even Temu sells scale?

    4. Better run to a good hospital and stop pharmacy treatment. Blood pressure medications are not meant to be stopped at will, you also need to get a BPmachine to check constantly.
When you get one, check your BP in the morning before taking your medications and in the evening, write them in a jotter with date and time,do that for atleast a week then go back to your doctor for reevaluation. Palpitation left untreated can lead to cardiac arrest so madam abeg take your health seriously.
