Its been a good day and i have been working...LOL
I hope i dont sleep off today as soon as i post the Friday Amebo post oh cos sleep no dey let me see road after 7pm...LOL

INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD
My boys have bored me with their latest fixation and let me bore you too, their latest vehicle fixation is dodge cars, they spend most of their screen time watching and learning about dodge cars, their current fixation is the evolution of dodge cars from 1914 till date.
I have watched and listened to the history dodge cars over and over again that I can give a presentation on it. How they did Ford motors dirty, the roles they played in the world war one and two and so on.
Now as a rule in my house my kids are not allowed to watch any content that has demons, ghouls, ghost, vampires, witches and all but as an act of defiance my second born has chosen the dodge challenger hell cat and the dodge challenger srt demon as his two favourite models, just because the forbidden words are in the name.
I have had to stop several times at car parks when they spot a dodge car while they pause to admire the car. Recently they spotted what they said is a 2025 dodge coupe ( I have forgotten the exact type) and they begged me to make a video of the car for them so that they could watch it on repeat at home.
On till they get over the dodge vehicles and move on to the next one, I will be watching and rolling my eyes in boredom every time it comes up.

NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS
Yesterday, I watched a disturbing video on Facebook of a young woman who was physically assaulted because she rejected the advances of a random man who approached her on the roadside.
The video left me disgusted. It also reminded me that countless women have experienced similar situations. It made me realize that some men simply cannot handle rejection. To them, rejection bruises their ego, and for some, it exposes an unhealthy sense of entitlement that they desperately need to address.
I can relate because I once dated a guy whom I eventually told I was no longer interested in. Instead of accepting my decision, he began stalking and attempted to beat me up. Thankfully, someone happened to be walking along that lonely road at the right moment, I would have been battered.
Watching that young woman brought back painful memories. The difference between our stories is that I had someone who came to my rescue. She didn't.
No one deserves to be threatened, harassed, or assaulted for saying "no." Rejection is a part of life. It should never become an excuse for violence

I have had a stalker here as well.....He was always following me when i used to take the train, he knew where to wait and i would see him toughing his gbola when he sees me...I was new in this country and didnt know another route to take.....My sister in law bought me pepper spray and the day he tried to approach me i showed it to him and that was the last day i saw him.

ReplyDeleteAn acquaintance who was visiting Abuja from Enugu asked me to find him a suitable hotel around Utako. I see a couple of hotels around cos I lived there but I didn't know their rates, so I went to ask around.
I was walking towards one hotel, Rogel Brooks opposite peace park, when a guy in a parked vehicle catcalled. I ignored him. He said "baby come now, I want to talk to you". I kept going. He was still talking to me when I walked into the hotel. I went to the reception, asked for their rates, inspected a room. Satisfied with what I saw, I thanked the receptionist told her I'd be back and left.

Okra pancakeπ₯ so yummy
Ingredients, okra, 1 cup of flour, milk, baking powder, pinch of salt, 2 eggs, butter, sugar to taste
Procedures, wash your okra very well and grate, you can slice few pieces too, it'll give it a nice look. Mix your eggs ,milk, sugar and butter, add it to the okra introduce your flour into the mixture and fold gently, add baking powder. Pour it inside your greased baking pan and bake it for 20 mins.
once it is done allow it to cook, then thrash it into the dustbin π thank you for reading
