The order followed reports that the group was intimidating, harassing and extorting residents, as well as making rules without legal authority.
Mutfwang said Plateau has one constitution, one legal system and one lawful authority. He said no group can exercise powers that the law does not give it.
Security agencies have been asked to identify and investigate those involved, including anyone supporting or funding the group.
The governor said the order is not against any religion, ethnic group or community.
