Actor Daniel Etim‑Effiong Responds to Brouhaha Over Kissing Roles in Movies

Actor Daniel Etim‑Effiong has weighed in on the ongoing debate about kissing scenes in Nollywood, and addressed why he still takes on such roles despite being a devout Christian.

Speaking on Sound Mind With Tolu Afilaka, Daniel explained that morality is not defined by the act itself but by the intention and context behind it and challenged critics with a sharp analogy:
“Would you ask this same question to a gynaecologist? A gynaecologist looks at the female genitals every day at work. Does that make him immoral?”
He stressed that intent determines morality, adding that people can commit far worse acts with their eyes than an actor does while performing a scripted kiss.
He says that acting is a profession, not a reflection of personal lifestyle or values and urged fans to separate professional performance from personal morality.
He insisted that judgment should be based on motive, not on what appears on screen.

Unless he is enjoying it, can he just stop explaining up and down?It is tiring reading him explaining ..he is so damn good at what he does!!
