The union says the Lagos State Government ignored its demands despite a 14 day ultimatum issued on August 31,2026 and a final warning on September 10,2026. The September 13,2026 deadline passed without dialogue or action.
ASUU insists that Lagos State must fully adopt and implement the December 2025 ASUU Federal Government agreement, including the Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance and other welfare provisions for serving and retired academic staff.
The joint strike declaration was signed by Dr Olusegun Babalola of ASUU LASU, Grace Abimbola also known as Grace Olayemi of ASUU LASUED, and Murisiku Onigemo of ASUU LASUSTECH.
The union says the strike will remain total and indefinite until the 2025 agreement is signed, adopted and implemented across all three Lagos State universities.

They have started again; government should please do the needful, we don't want four years program to become five.
