The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, says Kwara State governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq accuses him of anything that happens either in his office or residence.
Speaking during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Tuesday, the minister said whenever the governor sees a snake or any reptile, he would say, “It is Wike.”Wike also accused Abdulrazaq of focusing more on gossip than on doing the work he was elected to do.
He spoke against the backdrop of the support by the Rainbow Coalition for the re-election bid of President Bola Tinubu and criticism from some All Progressives Congress (APC) governors.
He also alleged that Abdulrazaq was only using the situation to cover up the local political problems in Kwara State.

Suspected armed herders on Monday ambushed the entourage of the Divisional Police Officer of Ayilamo in Logo Local Government Area of Benue State, killing two police officers. Sources in the community told journalists on Tuesday that the DPO, who had travelled to Makurdi on official assignment, was returning to Ayilamo when his entourage ran into the armed herders.

The Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC has revealed plans to expose the real owners behind Nigerian companies.
Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, Registrar-General of the CAC, made the disclosure at an engagement with journalists on Tuesday in Abuja.
According to him, there are legal owners of Nigerian companies and real individuals behind the corporate structure.
He said there is an urgent need for the public to know the real human beings behind corporate entities under its beneficial ownership disclosure framework.
He added that the move would help track illicit financial inflows within the country’s corporate ecosystem.

Workers at the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja have shut down the headquarters for four days, blocking top officials — including Minister of State Prof. Suwaiba Ahmad and Acting Permanent Secretary Dr. Folake Olatunji‑David — from entering their offices.
The protest was triggered by a circular announcing the concessioning of King’s College, Lagos, which workers say is unacceptable and a threat to Nigeria’s public education system.
Under the Joint Council of four major staff unions, protesters accuse the Federal Government of using King’s College as a test case for concessioning other federal unity schools nationwide.
They warn that such a move could push quality education out of reach for poor and working‑class families, turning unity schools into institutions only the wealthy can afford.
