The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, has marked his first anniversary on the throne in the Holy Land, Saudi Arabia. 

Oba Ladoja is currently performing Umrah in Makkah, where he was sighted offering special prayers for Ibadanland, Oyo State, and Nigeria. 

The monarch had earlier appealed to his subjects, friends and well-wishers not to turn his birthday and coronation anniversary into an elaborate celebration, but to thank God and extend generosity to the less privileged, especially those in motherless babies homes.

Joining him in the Holy Land are several Ibadan high chiefs and prominent sons, including Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland, who was recently elevated but could not attend his own chieftaincy installation at the Olubadan Palace in Oke-Aremo because he was already in Saudi Arabia for Umrah
