She Capped
“The pain of your absence is immense, but I'm finding strength in the love you gave me. You're the reason I know what unconstitutional love feels like. I thank Allah for giving me the opportunity to give you the final kiss. Alhamdulillah”

True, if I was born in a marginalised society with majority in poverty, and I just walked into billions in dollars, by virtue of a destiny helper, talkless of a blood father, I too will cap.
ReplyDeleteI also will give back to the community if its an internationally recognised poverty capital of the world.
Your dad was controversial. He was a dictator who didnt think of handing over to a democratically elected president. After his dictatorship, he keptrunning for presidency, trumpetting the change he will bring by fighting corruption. He won and instead of sorrounding himself with strategist and PR managers, he ran with his old tactics in a new, tech savvy world decimatimg those youths at Lekki, even when they had the Nigerian flag around them. Your dad would have had a remarkable career as a dictator president in his anticorruption stance.. and could even have had a dull, anti poor, anti middleclass 8 year run, enriching you and your siblings but he just had to allow those teenagers/youths be massacred matryrs and forever tied to his tenure in the history books. Mind you, no be the first time youths dey demonstrate in the hostory of this country, but ur dad chose to **********!!!
DeleteSo do understand the controversy your late dad was involved in.
Controversial Presidents abound all over the world tho.
Even in the blessed USA, some of their past past presidents are hardly even mentioned cus of the citizens embarrassment with their legacy when in power. Someone like Nixon doesnt seem popular
The eventual death of their current , polarising trumpetingone, even if he gets to 100 yrs old, will sha be interesting to watch, if one is still alive. Unless he gets the courage to go against his base & their based, proudly ignorant, bigotted instincts and actually be a kind and fair president of a multiracial great country like yankee. That said, leaving ones comfort zone is easier said than done.
I understand this feeling, she will cherish this moment for a long time and the picture is a good work of art.
ReplyDeleteLeadership is a very difficult role . People need to understand you CANT satisfy everyone! Buhari did his best no doubt, and he stepped on toes too... No doubt. Governance is not for the weak. If you understand this, I guess people will understand leaders.
ReplyDeleteWho she dey lie toooo
ReplyDeleteHe is for you to love and miss. I have learned that no matter who or what a person did in their lifetime there will be those who love them still. Hitter’s wife and children loved him, so there is that - not comparing this man to Hitler, just stating that even the vilest knew love.
ReplyDeleteSo emotional...
ReplyDeleteMay Allah grant him Janatul Firdausi
Almighty Allah swt will forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljanah fridaus.Amin
ReplyDeleteYour Father is dying and you are taking pictures. That's exactly what he deserved. This makes me happy.he was surrounded by crassness till the end.
