The pilot edition of the Africa and Everywhere Festival (an extension of Oge Elumelu’s Africa and Everywhere Conversations with Oge platform which focuses on connecting young Africans to real opportunities) successfully held in Lagos on Saturday July 4 2026. .
The festival attracted a large crowd of young people and notable guests including Oge’s billionaire father Tony Elumelu and his wife Awele who watched proudly as their daughter coordinated the event from start to finish and delivered a smooth and successful maiden edition.
The festival featured speed interview sessions where selected participants met with top companies across finance, oil and gas, banking, insurance, healthcare, law ,technology, engineering ,hospitality and other sectors.
Many of the young attendees secured six week summer internships while thousands more joined the event through a livestream.
Tony Elumelu addressed the audience and encouraged young Africans to embrace financial discipline, resilience and continuous learning. He described knowledge as a powerful tool for building wealth and urged participants to cultivate saving habits and invest wisely.
Awele Elumelu also emphasized that the festival was created to connect talent with opportunity and to give young Africans access to networks and resources that can shape their future.
