My Girlfriend Has Cancer Of The Breast...Please Help Us!...Blog Visitor.

He needs advice on where to get free screening for her and on what to do...his friends advised him to leave her and move on but i guess he really does care......please drop any info that can help in the comment section.

read his story.....

My story is a bit long but I will try to make it short.
I met my girlfriend early last year but we were just on an on and off relationship then nothing really serious, but we became so serious about the relationship early this year, but am scared and afraid she might be suffering from cancer of the breast.
I got to know about her case when we were alone together and I saw a mark below her breast and I saw one of her nipple a bit inverted so I asked how she got the mark and she told me about how she noticed something was moving in her breast last year and how
painful it grew over the months, and they had to go to a general hospital and some test were done and a procedure to remove the lump or object was done.
At this point I was eager to know the outcome of the test done on the tissue that was removed and that was where i got the shocker of my life.

After the procedure the tissue they removed was given to them to take to the lab for a test to be done on it but when they heard of the price, she said they just took the "tissue home" and later throw it away.... OMG!  I couldn't close my mouth and then i started asking questions...

Didn't you go back to the hospital again? Her answer was No.
Who removed the bandage and stitches done on you? She removed them herself..
How much was the test you were asked to do? N6000  But her mother doesn't have money again after spending a lot during the procedure..

Meaning the procedure was just a waste, there is no way we would have known if the tissue was malignant or benign tumor...
No chemotherapy or any drugs taken afterwards. But she is now feeling pains in the breast now not some much but she does have temperatures at nights and have to take her bath every night even in cold weather to be able to sleep.

Her mum is a single mum with 3 kids in higher institution, to pay her fees of over a 100,000 is an issue not to talk of his little ones. She is the first born of her family so asking her to involve her mum would be another wasteful effort because it will keep been postponed and I guess its still early now to really know if the tissue growing in her breast is cancerous or not.

I am just a laboratory technician earning below 50,000 as a salary in Lagos and where I stay is very far from work, the stress and distance and money for tfare and all that is killing me too, I live from hand to mouth with lots of debts to settle here and there. So there is little or nothing I can do for now.

I discussed this with a colleague at work and what she told me was to let the girl go or is that where I want to start spending now?
But I vowed that even if we won't eventually marry, I will make sure I help her get the help that she needs.

Please what can I do?

Should I let her go?

Is there anyone who can help?

Maybe a free cancer screening center in Lagos where I can take her? She schools in Ijebu but I can make her come since this is about her health.
Please I would really appreciate good responses on how and what steps to do.

Thanks.

    2. Tiwa, is shall not be well with you. When you go out you shall not be favoured. You shall know lack all the days of your life. The curses of psalm 109 shall follow you all the days of your life. For making such an insensitive comment, a disease, un curable, worse than cancer will be your portion: not unless you repent from your wicked ways and apologise for this inhuman comment of yours.

    3. Jehovah! How do u people find it so easy to curse others??? Curses of such magnitude, knwin fully well dat our words carry weight. Wow. Tiwa has said something wrong (u never knw, sh just might b frustrated herself), but who died and made u judge? Most def not d Jesus I serve. Y curse her? Na wa o.

      Delete
    4. I won't judge you. But let God deal with you the proper way. Heartless, hopeless and frustrated being!

    5. My apologies for the curses: having lost a brother to cancer I guess I got carried away. Tiwa, I take back the curses and pray for you instead that God will touch your heart to be a better person. He will put a guard on your tongue and thoughts so that u will only say things that will glorify his name and uplift others around you. Have a great week!

    6. Nigerians are damn superstitious. How can the curse catch Tiwa through the internet?

  6. Go back to the hospital with your girlfriend where procedure was done or general hospital. Hopefully she didn't remove the dressing from the wound before healing and there is no infection. Since tissue has been thrown out, surrounding tissue can be used or lymph nodes.
But is it amala that they'll just hand over to patients like that. It is well God will heal your girlfriend.

    1. They do hand over whatever is removed to ur family or whoever is with u duting surgery, they label it and give u a letter to go to a lab n carry out some test to check if its cancerous or not. Had d same issue although not with pains but after d test it was a normal growth in an abnormal place.

If she wants to eat it then she has to get organic ..she should eat more leafy greens raw and raw fruits.leave cooked food as much as possible.increase her vitamin c intake (original vitc ),zinc, a very natural multivitamin.we have a lot of unprocessed vegetables and fruits in Nigeria .let her start with these for a start while going for screening .MAy God heal her

So sorry to deviate. I am 3months pregnant and since have known I am pregnant, I am experiencing mood swings, I do not allow my husband come close to me cos when he does I always feel as if I want to throw up, even mare hug irritates me, I do not always feel like talking to him, I even started sleeping on the floor cos I just want to be alone, is it that I don't love my husband anymore or its just the pregnancy?

  35. My dear I'm going to advice you from experience.

My first cervical screening I was told I was "positive to cancer" my second screening I was told I had HPV and advices to do cryotherapy.

Because then I was still in school I decided to leave the matter just like your girl because all the money I saved from my business I used up on getting alternative opinions at a point u couldn't even pay my school fees or my hostel rent.

Now I could afford to travel abroad to seek medical help I was told that u can't test positive to cancer and I didn't have HPV infact all I had was an abnormal cervix that had the tendency to get cancerous later in life.

They where puzzled and dissapointed that Nigerian doctor would suggest cryotherapy (I don't really know why) an suggested I did something biopsy ( I don't remember the full name) I later had gardasil shots and I go for regular Pap smear test.

To cut d long story short my dear corruption in naija is everywhere. most naija doctors really don't know what they are doing and the few who do are ridiculously pricey! pls feel free to cuss me out in typing from experience. Others will blow little things out of proportion infact medicine isn't practiced in naija many doctors r just out to buy fancy cars to meet up wv their colleagues and exaggerate very simple test.

I would suggest you get an NGO and rally for help send pictures to blogs and well meaning Nigerians and send her abroad for treatment because for all we know it might not even be cancer but something little that looks so big due to neglect.

    Sorry for the Long epistle.
