Best Hospitals To Give Birth In Lagos.

I am asking on behalf on some pregnant women who read this blog. Some of them think the Hospitals they are registered for ante-natal are ''death hives''.

They implore me to ask others who have birthed kids either through CS or normal delivery to recommentd good hospitals for them to go and register.
Specific locations are festac, okota or isolo .

Do you know any hospitals that offer ante-natal classes?

Doctors in the house?please recommend.....and please i dont want anyone coming here to tell me we have treated this topic before, flip to the next post.Thank you.

    1. Same place my sister in law lost her premie twin babies through an infection got from the nurses' negligence of the proper care and cleaning of the feeding tubes. Also doctors lack of professionalism. They charge so much and you think that makes it a good hospital. I lost a dear friend there too. She never woke up from the anesthesia given to her during cesarean section.

      Delete
    2. @Anon 7:01, you are such a liar. I don't usually post but I had to put you straight. They do not give you an anesthesia that will make you sleep when doing CS, they give a spinal so u don't feel any pain.

      So stop with the lies.

      Delete

    4. Do hospitals still give anesthetic for CS? Most hospitals I know gives spinals so that d women dnt feel d pain during CS sections, nothing like 100% anesthetic anymore, except that hospital is a backward hospital.

  7. Paelon Memorial Hospital is my #1 choice. The partners who own the hospital are specialised in Obestetrics and gynaecology and Paediatrics. It's located on Musa Yaradua street in Victoria Island. I know a lot of people who have given birth there and trust me, they got the best hands. Can't wait to get pregnant cos as soon as I am, I won't go else where. I'll go directly to Paelon Memorial.

    4. Paelon memorial treats you based on your package. The hospital is unnecessarily expensive. If you got money Dr onyia will behave like a human being. If your HMO is THT forget it. She will never compromise, unfortunately she hires good staff she can control and she rubbish them in front of patients.shes got a terrible attitude towards her employees and none of them speaks well of her.

    1. My name is Onanikoko. I don't know if this Dr Orebanjo of Parklande is the same one who consults on some days at Reddington? If he is then I will join in attesting to the fact that he is one of the best OBGYN's we have in Nigeria. I say this cos he took care of my pregnancy till I travelled. He takes his time explaining everything in great detail and even while examining you is very decent about it. Reddington? That is one of the worst hospitals I know. Before this pregnancy I had a miscarriage and when I rushed in to tell them I had a miscarriage the receptionist told me non challantly to stand there. After 10 mins a nurse came and said follow me. No wheel chair no nothing and the blood was just flowing. Useless people. Like someone earlier said it dosen't matter if you go to heaven or hell to give birth just once you get pregnant start to commit your care givers into the hands of God and for us Catholics Mother Mary too. The white Doctors are equally as greedy and selfish, all they want is to bill, bill, bill.

    2. Yes. It is the same Orebanjo. He is a genius. Reddington is crap. Dont waste your money at Reddington. Very useless hospital. Speaking from experience, not childbirth though.

He is one of the best doctors in Nigeria, he's very patient and has a thorough understanding. I used him for my first son's pregnancy and i was so sick all through the pregnancy that i was practically living in the hospital till i travelled out to birth my child who is 14 years old now. Even though i had relocated, i still used to come back to Nigeria for my antenatal when i got pregnant as i was always too sick and that was how i had my two other chidden who are now ages 10 and 8. This Dr. Orebanjo had his own special way of dealing with the situation.

  63. Any successful delivery is a miracle so pray and ask God for a leading before going anywhere. No hospital that will say they have not recorded at least one death from human negligence..... They all just strive to get better and reduce the incidences. Some hospitals are a no no. Please pray well cos whether anyone believes it or not, cuss me out or not there are demonic hospitals too..... I have live abroad, have too masters degree but believe me the demonic does exist, just ask God for wisdom cos some things are onl revealed in the place of revelation..... All the best about to pop mamas....

  64. outreach women and childrens hospital okota (opp. mainsreet bank ,okota road) is awesome. The gyanae and pediatrician are out of this world. The nurses gosh over you and your baby. The spinal anaesthesia both for CS and normal delivery are so...affordable. free breakfast, free wifi etc all for 65,000 for normal delivery and 300 for c-section. They ve been there for 1 year now so relatively unknown, but antenatal days, no parking space. If you live around okota, isolo or festac, do take a trip down there and see for your self

  65. Havannah Specialist Hospital. Akerele, Surulere does it for me. Had my Daughter there last year on C.S and I was most delighted. Special shout out to Doctor Olarewaju, Dr Ogbokiri and all the wonderful nurses on maternity floor.

    1. I totally agree. It's a good hospital. Had my daughter there 2 years ago when I lived in Surulere and the nurses on the maternity floor were awesome! Dr. Olanrewaju did a great job but my husband refused to use them again because they gave us an outrageous bill after the birth even though my delivery was normal and easy. They said the money we paid was only a deposit. So mothers, please watch out for that!

    1. Anon 9:29......i'm really sorry for your loss. Been there,so I know. But wow Dr.Olaleye. I practically worship him. After loosing 3 pregnancies....one due to carelessness in a small private hosp. Dr Olaleye was God sent. He took fantastic care of me. He was so open, free nice,he walked me through all he was doing. I don't know what happened to you and I pray God come through for you,but olaleye is damn good. I had my baby boy via cs in June 2016 and it was great.i've recommended him to people and they testified too. Oh well......

    1. His hospital is called Parklande specialist hospital. Located in Surulere, Rasaq Balogun street, besides DSTV, off Adebola street, off Adeniran Ogunsanya street.

I use Parklande, and I can tell you that Dr Orebanjo is good, but my worry is, when he isn't around, I am yet to see another doctor there that I can vouch for as being as good as he is.

  77. I will recommend Lagoon Hospital.I had my two deliveries at the Ikeja Branch in 2012 and 2015 and the care I received is commendable.I will particularly recommend Dr Olaleye who was my obstetrician on both occasions. He is good at his job. My colleagues at work also have good impression of him.
