Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission ( EFCC) have sealed off four houses and two companies allegedly belonging to Abdulrasheed Maina, former chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms.

Ibrahim Kamal, an official of the commission, said EFCC confirmed that the property belong to Maina. The affected property are a two-storey shopping plaza located at 2C Ibrahim Taiwo road, one storey duplex at Katuru road and another property at Kawo new extension, all within Kaduna metropolis.

Maina’s whereabouts have been unknown since the news broke that he had been reinstated into the civil service.

He was accused of being involved in pension fraud running into over 100 Billion Naira. After an investigation by the senate joint committee on public service and establishment and state and local government administration, a warrant of arrest was issued against him. Subsequently, the police declared him wanted and he went into hiding. He reportedly fled to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
