    2. I'm not a fan of the OONI and his many shenanigans but I think Otedola as a Yoruba man should respect the tradition that OONI stands for and not the man himself. He should have bowed to him and respect his office irrespective of his flaws just like he Otedola has many flaws too. A lot of Senators that were older and more experienced always stand up for Obama despite their political differences. If Obasanjo can bowed down for OONI with his age, who is Otedola not to do so?

    3. People be drinking paracetamol on another person's headache, the Ooni returned the handshake, so obviously he isn't complaining, so what's all the noise about.

    4. At Alloy. STFU. Since your name is Chikezie, that means you are Ibo and no other tribes respect their traditional leaders like your tribe and expected you of all people to understand, Otedola is a Yoruba man and he need to give to Ceasar what belongs to Ceasar irrespective of his status. In Yoruba tradition we bowed to the King and not shake Oba's hand. Where is his manners?

    5. We prostrate for King in Yorubaland

  3. African mentality. Sigh. That's why we will always remain backwards. If he didn't greet, wahala, if he greets, they complain about the "type" of salutation.

Many of these humans that use smart phones needs proper exposure.

  4. I'm sure they expected him to lay on the floor, in such an occasion and tight space.

Mumu people with their Tiny brains on instagram, all they do is find faults in people's daily life activities and actions.

    1. What is wrong is that in Yorubaland, we porstrate for the King. To borrow King Sunny Ade Song it says IDOBALE LA NKI OBA NI ILE YORUBA. And it says also that AKI NRI OBA FIN (translation We disrespect the King by standing up to greet him. Is not about the man himself but about the POSITION that he hol

    1. A lot is wrong. We prostrate to greet King in Yoruba land and is a shame that people like Baba Obasanjo prostrated to greet the OONI but all these little rat feel too big to. Saraki did same and that is very wrong of them. The Ibos will never Disrespect their Obi just as the Hausas will never disrespect their King too. Is not about OONI's age but about his position

  12. Question is, is the Oni complaining ?
Besides they are on a table setting in a social gathering, and oni is on a high table which wont make it easy to bow there.
if Otedola goes to the Oni's palace, he may bow. As that is Oni's kingdom.
Another angle is they may know eachother from way back. If my friend is a Queen, abeg forget that thing. I aint bowing to you o hahahahahahaha.
Anyway that is me, I don't lay emphasis on many things. We are all human beings created equally. I may bow if I chose to, and if I don't feel like,na criminal offence?

  13. Not like it’s anybof my business buh Stella you asked..

All those saying there’s nothing wrong in greeting the Ooni with a hand shake are simply ridiculous. Smh. Would you greet a prominent King in Igbo land with a hand shake? It will be considered an insult to the Igwe! And this coming from a Yoruba man isn’t right at all. A King is a King. Irrespective of his age and the status of the person greeting him.

Whether they are besties or not, usually hangout in thesame spot or not, or lash thesame hoes or not. All that shouldn’t matter. As long as you are in public, it is expected that you show reverence to your King.
    My opinion though.

  14. Who cares. King my ass. Stay and pay attn to culture and dont help yourselves and your economy. Its all this tribal and cultural nonsense that has africa where it is today.

  15. But the Ooni brought out his two hands and accepted the handshake.
Using two hands to accept a handshake means you also respect the other person as a "senior.
    What's my own set.

  16. I am igbo and i must say this is wrong in every angle. That you are the oonis bestie is the more reason why you should show people how to respect him. We say "ikpo onye gi nkita, ndi ama esoro gi kpo"(if you call your family member a dog, outsiders will join you and do same)
