    1. It a beautiful Saturday day morning that started with heavy rainfall. Love the weather.
Thank you Jesus for prayer answered. Thank you God of Oyedepo for showing up for me when it seems like all hope was gone. Thank you for the success. I will forever be grateful everyday that I live on this earth. May you holy name be highly exalted in my life forevermore.

  2. Why does the semovita mixture boiling water always have to pour 😭? I read that you should put a wooden spoon over it to stop it from pouring which I do but it still pours. Please, what can I do to stop it from boiling over abeg? My semovita is just wasting cos half of the mixture pours on the cooker. Wheat is even worse sef 😏.... Btw, what's the name of the semovita mixture sef cos I only know it in my language 😂

    1. Hian. You mix too much. Just place it at a level to maintain it inside the pot when it starts boiling. I know somebody who feeds her child with the boiling semovita. When it start boiling, she turn off the fire. In it liquid state, she adds baby milk n litle salt. The child takes it like pap. Her child is so fresh n healthy but I have never heard of such so I am still a bit shock. Has anyone try it here? What is the logic behind it?

    2. Question number 2, please how can I cook beans and get it done? I have never been able to cook beans properly all my life..😂😂😂

    3. Perhaps you should ask the person

      Delete
    4. Just reduce the heat.

    5. Lol skywhite.... your own is another level. I'm not the best beans cook but do you put potash? Just a little then allow it break and soften well before you start adding ingredients. Put enough water to make it soft and the water should be almost dried before putting ingredients. You might get better instructions. Let us know how your next beans session goes 😂..

Bubul, I don't always out too much oh. I even think that when the mixture is thinner (less semo), it boils over more. I won't forget the time my pot was a most empty 😂😂😂😂.
I drink that mixture too but I'm an adult. Not sure if its too heavy for kids. I take it cos I'm not keen on swallow so when I'm hungry, it's my alternative. Not bad 😊

Sky do you per boil your beans before cooking?

    8. Same girl, your semo should not pour if the quantity is for the exact pot. Also don't put too much water. I love mine soft.

Bubul....when I was in the University,i drink my semo like aot. With a little salt you are good to go. You can use peak milk.It is very rich.

Skywhite do you parboil your beans. Parboiling of beans is very good to remove the chemical used in preserving it. When you want to parboil add a little potash and after 30minute pour the water away and rinse the beans. Put a fresh water and add alot of onions.leave it for 15minutes it must have soften well before you start adding pepper and gbogbo ti gbo.

      Delete
    9. Same Girl I'm scared potash might upset my stomach...I have also tried cooking it for long before adding ingredients but still didn't get it well. Someone adviced that I should leave a spoon inside the pot while cooking, I'm yet to try that method.

Lucile yes o, I per boil to remove the first water so I can remove all the chemicals used by aboki to preserve the beans.

      Delete
    10. Sky use onion in place of potash while cooking

      Delete
    11. @Skywhite,you are actually parboiling it too much and secondly adding all the pepper, onion, salt etc when its not close to being done..

Rule 1: Dont parboil too much, you either wash the beans with warm water or if you wanna remove the chemical used in preserving it;then parboil for like 5-8 mins(the water would have been very hot by then if its gas-cooker) before washing and adding fresh water..

      2) After adding that fresh water;dont stir the beans again inside the pot or add any orisirisi until its five mins away from being done..just use a small spoon and get some seed from the pot (two or three then bite to see if its soft to your taste) and when its soft to your taste, add the onion, pepper, red oil, maggi, salt etc and dont stir too for like five mins..
When the beans has absorbed all those ingredients;that is when you now stir everything in the pot...

The rule is;dont stir until your beans is done..The moment you stir;the beans starts getting burnt and you would thinks its ready to be eaten or brought down..
And bydway,i dont use potash to cook my beans and this method above gets my beans done faster than those who used potash.
Honey-beans is the best also if you can get it around you(quite costly compared to other beans)..

      @MARTINS ABOY

    12. I agree with anon about the heat, that's how I prevent mine from pouring.

      Delete
    13. Sky white, I slice onion into it and it softens before 20 mins.I also use pressure pot sometimes. But if you don't have pressure pot, onions will do the magic for you.
Please always boil your beans for at least five minutes and get rid of the water to avoid purging.

      Delete
    14. LMAO. Skywhite, cooking beans is Nat ur calling.

      Delete
    15. Do not add potash to your food, it's not healthy. If you are cooking anything strong, ranging from cowleg, cowhead, cowtail, beans et al... you don't need potash or nail to soften it. Just slice onion into it after washing, do not spice. Just allow it to boil for 20 mins, it becomes soft and you can go ahead and spice. Have a lovely weekend everyone.

      Delete
    16. Okay will try the Onions thing tomorrow, if it doesn't work, I'll try Martin's method. I love beans but it's quite unfortunate I can't make it properly...thanks everyone. I have bookmarked this page for future reference..lol

      Delete
    17. @Sky, the problem is the type of beans you cook. Some species cook for a very long time. Buy oloyin beans (ask for the real one cos they can give you one that looks like it), not olo 1 or olo 2. You're in lag so these words are not strange in the market.

Cook it the same way you cook your beans without potash (not healthy). In 1 hour, your beans is ready. Trust me.

      Delete
    18. Banker, thanks for the tip. I was skeptical the first time someone told me to put nail in my pot of cowleg. I ended up using potash and the tummy upset lasted for day. I dont eat abacha cos of the potash they add inside.
Please, is there an alternative to potash cos i really love abacha but the fear or runny stomach just kills the appetite.lol

      Delete
    19. @ Mambee, people soak ash in water and use instead of potash. They call it " nnu ncha" in my place. It's sold in the market too. Maybe you should try it.

  5. One major problem with Nigerians that have kept 'them' from advancing in a global world is the ascribing of everything to be spiritual.

Everything in this country always have a spiritual connotation. The very reason a man who knows fully well that his car is faulty will the break, will hope on prayers for safe journey instead of fixing or packing the car.

Why must it always be spiritual attacks on you even when it is obvious about you being careless and irresponsible. Must your failure be ascribe to witchcraft and sorcery?

The orientation and mentality of so many is too backward and disgraceful. We aren't getting it right anytime soon if we continue this way.

Also,90% of Nigerians has been hoodwinked to believing that, any badluck in life is as a result of the evil ones but they have failed to understand what life is all about.

Note....from experience,,for Mr A to be alive and due to the grace difference,Mr F can loose his life. That's God for u..

Was coming from fedpol ado ekiti on 23rd of November 2015,,coming from a seminar when a boy of about 10years crossed the main road but all because God still wants that boy alive, the bus driver who was on speed decided not to hit the boy but lost his life and 5 other passengers by heading straight to an abandoned pole..

Such is life...he would have crushed the boy and still escape..

  21. So my colleague and I did something yesterday that I'm hoping won't get us into trouble.

There's this girl that joined my school, first term of this 2017/2018 session. She's currently in JSS3. Very brilliant girl. Like from the very first day she started, we all know she was brilliant.

This particular girl, let's call her 'tinu' lived with a family that already had kids in the school. The man has three kids of his own.

The girl is a relative of the man.

The daughter of this man is in JSS2, let's call her Ann,she's not so sound academically. We noticed she would always bully this girl sometimes to the extent that Tinu would be carrying her school bag home for her. No one intervened as we didn't want any issues with the school

Fast forward to second term, I traveled and came back to hear that the girl Tinu no longer attends the school. I enquired about this and they said the man said he could nit afford the fees anymore.

When the girl heard I was back, she came to greet me at home (we stay in the same area), I used the opportunity to ask her why she stopped coming, she told me it was d man that removed her and enrolled her in a junior waec lesson that he would occasionally let her go.

Found out the man had sent his wife packing and made this small girl into a wife (without the sexual part). She would cook, bathe the small ones, go to market, get flogged for reprimanding his kids etc but at this point, I only told her to endure.

So sha sha sha, we resumed third term and dis girl wasn't still going to school even though she was registered for WAEC at my school.

So about two weeks to exam time, I begged our proprietress to allow the girl come revise with us, free of charge for the remaining two weeks and she agreed. The 'father' also agreed but would still let her come only some times.

The issue now is that we realized that this once very brilliant girl now dies quite poorly. Always seems absent minded abd never happy so my colleague took it upon herself to ask her what the problem was.

In tears she explained how she's being terribly treated, has no time at all to read as she would work from morning till night and cos of the tiredness, she'd just sleep right off.

Says the man brings so many girl friends home and would always send her to go buy condom. Would beat her at will for no reasons whatsoever and she just wants to leave.

She didn't have her mum's number but got one of her aunt's but needed someone that would help her call.

Na so we call this woman oh and explained all to her. She begged the woman to tell her mum to come pick her up from the place once she's done with her exams and her mum has promised to come take her on Wednesday.

My issue now is that, hope this won't backfire as the man has been a parent of the school for years and if this backfires, it could actually cost us our jobs. But we took a little preventive measure tho by saying we were just people that stayed same area with her and not her school teachers

    2. Do not enable your email if you do not want to.

There is a reason why there is a P.A on this blog ba?

      1. Send the recharge cards to P.A let her disburse accordingly. There is an email on her profile that anyone can contact.

      2. Send the money to IsaacBaba let him top up everyone's account. That way it even brings business to him too.

3.Enable YOUR OWN email. Let those you want to give, contact you.

      Simple.

Almost one week, 'I want to contact you'. 'I want to contact you'. Why is something as simple as blowing ones nose, now looking like rocket science?

No idiot will come and misyarn under your comments and u will say just the time u wanna say the way u feel it. So common cheer up u are bigger than a giveaway. He had gone to pee in their toilet and slipped, fell and hit his head on the ground. When his mum saw that he took too long to come out, thinking he was playing with water, she went to check on him only to see him lying unconscious on the floor. Thank God he woke up after plenty water was poured on his body and was rushed to the hospital. May we not bury our young by God's grace.

  50. Wooooww ! Last day of the month !!! May all our disappointments and bad stories fizzle away with this month I pray.
So my rich siblings that take care of my needs started behaving funny just bcoz a young man came to do my introduction. I ask for money, they say what of ur husband ?
I'm confused, is he my husband yet? Bride price hasn't even been paid, what stage does a man take up the responsibility of a woman ? I'm still a student, I feel it's very wrong of my brothers to think that way, I'm so scared they'll be expecting my fiance to pay my next school fee ! I feel it will reduce his respect for me !
What do u guys think about this, what stage is a woman seen as a man's responsibility, plz Stella, this can be a topic for discussion, Thanks

  61. Drinking lemon water in the morning is very beneficial to the body.

If you have FIBROID, make it a point of duty to always drink Lemon water daily.

Go to your Gynacologist and request for a Hormonal Profile Test( it comprises of Progesterone, oestrogen, oestradiol, Testosterone,T3, Prolactin).

If your Prolactin and estradiol or oestrogen is high, you need to change your lifestyle

FIBROID strives very well in an Acidic body. Lemon water disrupts the Acidity of your system(it makes it Alkaline).

You need to change your diet.

You need food high in fibre and also Cruciferous veggies like Cabbage, Broccoli, Cucumber, Carrot, Apple. Make SALAD your friend.

FIBROID is often triggered by your hormone which can lead to OESTROGEN DOMINANCE(when your oestogen, estradiol is higher in your body compared to your Progesterone).

    DO'S

    1. Drink hot lemon water in the morning or when ever you feel the pelvic pain caused by your fibroid. It helps to manage the pain instead of taking pain killers often.

    2. Drink a good Quality Green tea daily.

3.Make smoothie your friend. Blend Cabbage, Cucumber, watermelon, lemon, ginger and Apple. Your skin would thank you.

    4. Eat cruciferous vegetable like Cabbage, Broccoli, Cucumber. It targets the fibroids cell and eats it.

    5. You need to supplement with supplement
    a. Maca or Vitex ( it helps to balance your hormones).

    b. Vitamin C

    c. Fish Oil.

    d. Women Multivitamin

    e. Zinc.

    f. Vitamin B complex.

If you can abide with these you will notice changes in your body within three (3) months.

Your heavy bleeding will reduce significantly.

    The Pelvic pain will reduce.

You are now managing the fibroid.

    DONT
You need to stop drinking Carbonated drinks.

    Stop smoking.

Stop Alcohol (Red wine is good because it contains Resveratrol).

This was researched by I ( CEO Empress).

    I would love feedbacks
