      They dont charge outrageously. No more cot chrgs. Just acct maintenance wc is 1naira for every 1000 unlike before. Trf charges hv been reduced frm 210,420 etc to a flat rate of 52 naira. Cheque book charges reduced. They r just working smarter opening accts for everyone.

      Easy with the lies @Olori Orente. No bi only you dey use Gtbank ooo. How much has GTbank deducted from your account apart from the normal SMS alert charge (which you can opt out from), debit card request (which is not free even in other banks), Stamp duty for deposits on account (which belongs to Federal government); account maintenance charge once a year as against other banks that collect theirs every month?

    How wont GTB make crazy profit? Thats how they deducted 6,500 from my account without explanation. Charged me twice for a bill I paid online
    The deduction was not recorded in my account statement
    CBN needs to check the excess stealing by these new generation banks abeg.

      Diamond bank did same to me. Some bvs adviced me to call diamond and threaten them I will go on SM. I did exactly on friday. 3 different people have called me this morning from the bank.

      Sm if these doubke chrgs arr usually unknown to thr banks itselfx when u report, it goes they different channels for reversals. No bank will purposely chrg u for services not rendered or cbn will fine them

      you guys don't know the issues diamond bank have. why won't they overcharge you? A bank that lost 9 billion naira when Sterling bank made a profit of 8 billion naira? All that glitters isn't diamond.

      @Retired slay queen, you forgot to tell us that the 6500 debit was for your dollar mastercard annual maintenance fee. Didn't you read the terms and conditions before applying? Oh, I forgot, blacks don't read! It is also impossible that your transactions did not reflect on your account statement. Onye asi...sun segbe jor!

    Also, these profits are huge compared to 2015 downwards, this is as result of the foreign currency - naira exchange rates they crashed and the CBN allowed them, because they are in it together. What bank is the CBN governor's bank again? Zenith right?
