APC BLASTS Saraki,Call Him Greedy And A Rolling Stone That Gathers No Moss

The disappointing performance of Sen. Bukola Saraki at the Presidential Election Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is a befitting end to the ambition of a greedy, untrustworthy and double-dealing politician.

With a miserly 317 votes, behind Aminu Tambuwal’s 693 votes and Atiku Abubakar’s 1532 votes, the PDP delegates have given clear indication that they are fed up with Saraki’s political style. When a leader cannot be trusted, cannot be relied upon, and cannot keep agreements, the people take due cognizance and records of these actions and respond with their votes at the appropriate time.

How will someone who emerged Senate President through conspiracy with members of the opposition Party and against the wishes and interests of his own party be trusted to be elected as the presidential candidate of a party? Even on his being elected to the position, did Saraki acquit himself creditably?

Throughout Saraki’s tenure as Senate President, it has been one confrontation between the National Assembly leadership with the Executive or another. Confirmation of Executive nominees sent to the Senate for confirmation has been delayed unnecessarily, annual national budgets delayed. For instance, the supplementary budget of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the 2019 General Elections is continually delayed due to Saraki’s selfish political machinations.

A selfish Saraki will rather than perform his constitutional legislative functions by ensuring timely consideration and passage of Executive bills, will rather sabotage the efforts of the Executive in furtherance of his treacherous politics.

Having sabotaged the President Muhammadu Buhari government while in the APC, he later showed his true colours by formally joining the opposition PDP. The APC bade him goodbye as he returned to the looters club where he belongs. However, in doing so, Saraki must do the needful by giving up the Senate President position. He should be a distinguished Senator in name and in deed. He cannot continue to preside over the APC-dominated Senate as a member of the minority PDP.

The delegates of the PDP have rejected Saraki as their presidential candidate. Let the Senators also do likewise by rejecting the greedy, deceitful and unreliable Senate President as their leader. A new President of the Senate, free from all allegations of criminality is needed NOW.

    2. I'm not a fan of both but the statement about Saraki was accurate. He is not only greedy but also over ambitious and there is time for everything in life. God will never let this greedy, spoilt and confuse man becomes Nigeria President. He thinks Nigeria belongs to him and he can do anything he wishes without any consequences. I honestly have nothing personal against him but I dislike what he did to his party APC. This man is a traitor and cannot be trusted to govern over the country

    4. Anon 10.23.Unfortunately it seems that you didn't do govt in school . You need to educate also educate yourself on what is a democracy and how it works. The majority becomes the Senate President and this has nothing to do with votes. I
Have never seen or heard a minority' becomes a Senate President. Saraki becomes a Senate President because his Party APC won the Presidency and is the majority but now that he has defected to PDP which is the minority and under the democracy rule, he has no right to become the Senate President. If he has any morals left, the best think is for him to allow the Majority APC to elected a Senate President within their own party. PDP is a minority and as a result, Mr Greedy - Saraki can not continue to be the Senate President. But then I'm a screwed up
country like Nigeria where no one follows the rule of law, unfortunately anything goes

  10. So you sat down as an official representative of a party to type all this about an ex party member? Wow, you people need to be kept busy. Go round nigeria each local government and find out what the concerns and complaints of each Nigerian is then sit down and come up with a manifesto that your APC candidate can read, articulate and understand, put your house in order cos it’s all in shambles as we speak in almost every state. Nigerians won’t swallow this blame game again 2019 and you all know if the election is truly free and fair nobody will confidently vote APC again. So get busy.

  12. The only fair point I see in the write up is Saraki stepping down as the senate president since he’s no longer in the majority party. APC has the majority in the senate house so he being in PDP cannot be the senate president.
