I remember when my sister wanted to do traditional wedding in the village so preparations were in top gear. My fiance(now hubby)sent me 20k from abroad to make my asoebi for the wedding oo. ReplyDeleteI wasn't in a good place emotionally prior to the ivf and I needed a little "pick me up" present from me to me so off I went and I bought it.
I refused to wear it and planned on wearing it the day I will go for the confirmation of my pregnancy, I will bring it out of the box and admire it and I'll be like "I will use you and do my 9 months time countdown"
2 days to the 14days time frame, I started bleeding and even when we went to the hospital 2 days later, I wore it as an act of faith and after it was confirmed that the ivf failed, I didn't wear that watch for months. It became a symbol and at a point I hated it.
What am I saying? Material things don't bring joy, even if it does, it will be fleeting. Don't ever buy things to fill a void, the happiness it will bring will only be for a while
