I am a Muslim, we do shave our baby's hair on the 7th day before the naming commences. Going deep into the reason will be like writing an epistle. DeleteIn as much as I have not shaved my baby's hair and she is almost 4 months old( I don't plan to BTW till at least she reaches one year), but I also realize the fact that some people do shave theirs and still survives. So what's all the arguments for?
When my baby was born, mum was avoiding pouring water on her face to avoid her getting cattahr but you could imagine our surprise when MIL visited and said in their place, they even put drops of water in the baby's nostrils. Why? Because they are from the riverine part of Anambra, it is believed that the act will help the child not to be afraid of water since they are staying very close to water side. So u see, why in my own side we were avoiding even a droplet of water on baby face( talk more of her nose...hei Chi m), but husby's side is on the opposite side. And guess what? They don't even get cattahr or cold from it, they all survived and are healthy.
So in as much as we have different beliefs about something, let's also realize that some other people believe some other things and it actually works for them for where another person's right stops another's begin.

I don’t know the genesis of this gist but on this assignment issue, I agree with parents that complain. Most assignments that schools give to student’s are mostly things that require parents to do most if not all the work. Why are you giving a student an assignment on something they weren’t taught in class or requires a parent to do all the work. Eka, I don’t think you’d enjoy going to work all day and come back to meet a workload of assignment to be done. Give them assignment on what you’ve taught them and let it be little not the one that the assignment would mean going to the market to buy crocodile tears and the toenail of an elephant. Let children rest their brains too.

Any assignments that takes more than 20-30 minutes to complete is punishment.

I could remember my sister complaining bitterly about the maths homework given to her daughter during the last midterm break,the maths questions were 50 in number, my niece couldn't solve them on her own,as she complained to her mum that they haven't been taught some of the maths topics incuded in the homework. My sis had to call the uncle teaching them maths to confirm if truly her daughter was telling the truth about not being taught some of the topics, the teacher also confirmed it. When i saw the homework, I couldn't solve it too because some of the questions were difficult. It's another sis of mine who is very good in maths that helped her solved most Of the questions.
