Living Abroad With Proper Documentation...

Some Nigerians in the Diaspora are living abroad without proper documentation and when a little thing happens and they are deported, they start crying all over the social media.............

There is a trending Video of a woman who was deported with her three kids from Germany and some people are insisting that because she had the kids in Germany, she cannot be deported....says who?

First of all,two of the three kids were born in Italy and only one was born in Germany...None of her three Children are legally Germans!
The Lady reportedly had Italian Residency on Humanitarian grounds that expired,it can be renewed if one has been living in the Country of the permit but she was living in Germany,so the requirement was not met...
That woman was not aware of her rights living in another Country and she was not properly documented and evidence says she was collecting tax payers money and sending back to Nigeria.....

What I am trying to say is that this woman's case has just proved that most Nigerians are living abroad thinking that once they get pregnant and deliver in the Country they are in then they are covered...No you are not!...You need proper documentation and that you keep to certain rules as foreigner!!!

What Country are you in outside Nigeria and what are the steps for a Nigeria to take to get their papers to live there legally?or to get proper documentation aside from birthing every year thinking they are covered.....

This post might help someone,somewhere.........................

I hope i made sense?

    1. I have a green card in the US that I got from:

attending college here on F1 visa, got a job prior to graduation and filed for OPT 1 year work permit.
filed OPT extension for another 18 months or so due to STEM background.
work finally filed H1B visa which I used for 3 years.
transferred to another job using H1B transfer.
the new job filed LCA, i140, i485 (adjustment of status) - took about two years to get my greencard using EB3.

there is too much suffering abroad and I told my God that if he's not ready for me to get my greencard in a legal way then I would rather go back to Nigeria than marry for papers. I thank God he honored me. It's possible to get your residency through legal means and I encourage it.

    2. I live in the UK, if you like naturalise yourself and have British passport, if you commit some offences or they realised you got it through fraud, they will collect it back and deport you if the offence is horrible hence they attach a letter saying it belongs to the secretary of state bla bla bla. They're millions of people living abroad with no knowledge of how the immigration works that's why you have the citizens advise bureau where you can go to for free advice and they can even get you a free immigration case worker.

I think US and Canada give the kids citizenship y birth. Some others, the kids have to have lived there minimum 5 years after birth before applying for citizenship.

    1. Before applying for residence permit. For UK I think it’s 7yrs now. But if one parent is British then the kids are automatically British by birth. Then the other non-British or Non-EU parent can be granted residency via the 10yrs family life route based on the fact that he or she is a single parent with sole or shared parental responsibility. The other route is via marriage to a British citizen but this application can only be done in your country of origin except in exceptional cases. Also marriage to an EU citizen can occur and application can be done in UK. There are other routes like EU dependent routes or carer routes for family adults who are seriously sick. But each case is based on individual circumstances and proper documentation. So see a good lawyer and get advise......xxbarbiexx

    2. Forget Uk, except you marry a british citizen OR som1 with the right to live legally in the uk, there is no way.

A lot of people used student visa back then but that has been blocked. After studying now and paying the staggering fees, you go back to your country.

A friend of mine came to the uk with visitor's visa 2 years ago, the suffering no be here. She keeps her money with me, to register with the NHS was war, somebody had to rent a room for her, she can't get a decent job. Always scared even mere seeing the police and they are minding their business.

It is now very tight and all the avenues people used to use to file then have been blocked. Some still use children and that child must been born in the uk, never been out and I think was they are or 10 years, they msy be eligible for citizenship but that is not automatic.

Even some hospitals will request your passport to carry out any surgery or treatment on you, they want to know if you are entitled to such treatment.

    3. @Rob,I'm a nurse by profession. Any tip for nurses? Baba God pick up my call this year.

      Delete
    4. You are right Rob but you know you can’t just stand up and go. On a normal day, most Nigerians are not eligible to migrate anyway. I don’t know about Canada but in USA, you can only be legal by marriage or investment. How many people have $500k for investment to become legal anyway?

You can’t just export your skill and for you to enter and study, you need student visa or become documented first which we all know is a long process in USA. HB1 visa is easy but how many Nigerians qualify when our education is poor.

If you are so desperate, my advise is to find love on the internet. It’s not a bad thing to do if you will eventually love the person and oyibo is a hustler like you. You are richer than them sometimes so don’t think you are escaping poverty by marrying oyibo. You are only marrying into a good system.

Whatever you do sha, don’t travel to USA without having people that will back you up first. Many immigrants get raped, robbed, cheated and you won’t be able to do anything because of fear of being deported. Just know that one at the back of your mind.

    6. Yes they are accepting nurses and doctors in the uk. I will check out some websites and post the links here. But the process is you must pass the English language test, pass all your nursing registration exams and get registered, then apply for a job in the uk. Get the job and the employers will act as your sponsor to the UK. Xxbarbiexx

I live in the UK and there are so many many questions the Home Office will ask, UK is one of the toughest places to live in.
If your bro lives in the UK he can speak to the solicitor who was working on your mum's case to see if they can be of help.
It's a tough one though especially if ure over 16.

  7. In Sweden there are a few ways to get residency..
    1. Job
If you get a work permit(usually 2 years at a time) for a period of 4 years over the period of 7 years, you are eligible for a permanent stay. After around 2-3 years of permanency, you can apply for a passport. The only issue with work is that you have to make sure your employer pays all the needed insurance, that you earn at the least 13,000 SEK every month and you take out enough holidays. Many people have been deported for missing a few of these requirements(immigration will ask you to show all your payslips every time you want to renew).

    2. Family ties
If you are together with someone who has a permanent residence or Swedish citizenship, you can get also get a permit. You get 2 years first and after that you can apply for a permanent residence. The requirements are that you will live in the same house, your partner has a source of income and your apartment/house meets certain conditions.

    3. Born pikin for a Swedish citizen
If you have been deported sef they can reconsider if you and your partner are expecting a child. They have to consider the best for the child and most times they will allow give a permit so you can be with your child. Except you have a criminal record or something serious against you.

Those are some of the ways I know you can get a permit in Sweden.

She's trying to buy public view with the children, forgetting that she has broken immigration rules.
For eveye one claiming asylum, you get deported to your home country irrespective of the country you came in through.
I live in Canada, most Nigerians claiming asylum came in through the USA, most of them get rejected after a period of time and are sent back to Nigeria.
Please relocate thee legal way and stop disgracing Nigerians, whether you like it or not, the public is watching, and it makes it harder for the citizens who want to come in the right way

A new category comprised of those wishing to develop a business idea immediately upon graduating, and who have been identified by UK universities as having developed world-class innovative or entrepreneurial skills, but who are not at the time of their graduation ( and, presumably at the time of the expiry of their leave to remain as a Tier 4 (General Student ) in a position to meet the full requirements of the Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) route. Additionally from 6 April 2012 graduates from outside the European Area who have studied in UK educational institutions and who have been identified by their college as having ''world class innovative ideas'' are entitled to switch from Tier 4 into Tier 1.

He/she becomes a citizen only if either parent is a citizen or if he chooses Italy as his country of origin based on birthplace when he reaches the legal age.

  18. This is a very good post Stella, and I hope people will be enlightened here and gained some ideas.

This is the worse time in the history of immigrants in Europe (I only know little about the the United States)

Please, if you are coming to any country in Europe with visitor or tourist or even business visa, have it in the back of your mind that if you over stay your time and your visa expires, you might never be able to get residential permit...
All those also already living in Europe without legal papers please, stop moving to other countries to seek for asylum. They hardly grant asylum too Nigerians.
And those buying father and mother for their kids, just so their kids can have papers, stop it already, it will come back to bite y'all and even your kids in the nearest future.

Some people abandoned their papers and went to another European country and they are now stranded in that country because, everything is on the system. You can only cheat the system but for a while.

There are people that could actually do things legally without having to bypass the proper system, but, they have refused to have sense.

Those coming from Nigeria with the hope to come find someone to marry for papers, please be very careful because most of the people here (both blacks and Caucasians) can see through your vulnerability and the wicked ones can use it against you.
Some wicked ones have turned some girls to sex slave all because of papers.

If you are a student, you can apply for residential permit and if grace is on your side with all the proper documents, they will grant you one.
Following backyard to enter into the system usually have side effects and those effects are not usually a favorable one.

If you are in a relationship with someone in the abroad, do not be desperate, they might use it against you when the going gets tough.

May God grant all our good wishes.

I don't know about other countries, but one of the worst things that can happen to a person is to be in the UK illegally, you will see all your potentials wasting away, forever at the mercy of others, restricted and limited in a lot of ways, and even worse not being able to leave the country and see your loved ones for years. 25. My Own is that if you are a woman seeking to marry a Nigerian man abroad, my sister ASK QUESTIONS to void stories that touch.
Where he is in Europe, make sure you ask him /know how he got into Europe. If he was born there, you are safe. If he has his residency legally and very single, you are safe. If he has his papers but is divorced and you are 100% sure, you are also safe. If he has kids with another woman but not with her, and you are also sure, you are safe.
I say all these things because I have seen a lot of Nigerian women in Europe in very miserable marriages and regretting why and how they got deceived into marriage, or perhaps regretting why they never asked the important questions. Forget all the shakara that we show off on IG, life is damn difficult here for a black man, legally or illegally.. so much bills to pay and no savings. The last thing you want to do is to be with a wo/man who would compound your life for you.
If he is coming from Italy, Germany, UK or anywhere in Europe and asking for your hand in marriage, don’t get carried away – ASK THOSE QUESTIONS and mean it. Otherwise you will regret it when you find out the truth.
There is always a price to pay if you come abroad illegally.
If you are married in Nigeria and your husband decides to relocate to Europe to hustle on a visitor visa, please don’t agree. If you do, then prepare to be alone for another 10 yrs or more before you ever see him. And also be prepared to accept another woman in his life – Man must hustle.
If you are coming abroad as a student and plan o staying back, don’t make promises to whoever you are dating in Nigeria except you are coming back after graduation – most don’t come back anyways as there are no jobs in Nigeria. So while there as student, work very hard, get good grades and apply for scholarships for your masters and if possible Phd.It wil help you especially if you are in countries like Finland and Iceland. Forget UK, they have nothing to offer you.
Most of you flock there because they speak English and you have families there. Go to Scandinavia, Netherland, Germany, Belgiun and study there, and learn their language. Most schools are free there. Besides, you are a grown adult ..you can live anywhere. And you can find a decent man abroad too – he doesn’t have to come from Nigeria and he doesn’t have to be Kayode or Emeka. Fight for your life you’ve always wanted to live.
Avoid coming abroad illegally but if you happen to find yourself here and you are illegal, accept the reality and redirect your priorities.Marry who you fall in love with ,it doesn’t matter where she comes from. Love is love. You don’t expect to lie to a wo/man to marry the for papers, raise a family and hope to come back home to marry Nkechi. It will backfire on you.
As you are leaving naija for a new life in obodo oyibo, be honest to yourself and to whoever you are making promises to in Nigeria. It’s a difficult world out here for a black immigrant and WORSE if you are ILLEGAL.

He is an American and he wants to marry me too. I just have to divorce that wicked soul and move on. I won't give up on love and happiness for anything else.

Living abroad no be beans o and I even have families living here before I came here talkless of those who came il-legally. May God see you through and send helpers and give you your heart desires.

    2. Hes late and I doubt it being transferable. How many years did your dad live in that country and was he paying tax and contributing to the country?
Does he have investments in the country?
He has passed on, who do you want to go and stay with if you travel? They will think ure coming to their country to claim asylum or be a burden.

  28. The thing is some travel with the intention of defrauding the system. I knew of someone who was dating a guy online, he was dating others too and had been married before. But she carried herself to juju abi white garment and they saw for her, told her she will travel out. Next thing, guy proposed and invited her. She got visitor's visa with the intention of not getting pregnant as soon as she reached UK which she did. Fast forward to 10yrs later and how many children later, she is now homeless and a single mother. I don't know how it's possible but he never married her or filed for her. Yet, she was posting pictures and religious marital advice on Facebook. What is shocking to me is that in those 10yrs, she never went to school (even vocational college cos university isn't for everyone), took courses or upgraded herself in any way. So she can't contribute to the economy. Just sat down feeling she has arrived, looking down on single women and feeling like even shopgirls want to snatch a husband it turns out she's not even married to. They didn't even do registry marriage when she got to UK. And the time she went, immigration was a bit relaxed, not like now. She didn't even check out the man properly, she was blinded by greed and the desire to escape Nigeria. Apparently the guy threw her out in the night, changed the locks and moved house (I don't know how true this part is cos she lies a lot for sympathy).

When someone is determined to do the wrong thing, the devil will always give them a helping hand but won't tell them the cons. The place she went for them to see for her, they didn't tell her full story. "You will travel abroad" is not full gist, oh. Cos of the complexity of her matter, she will soon be back to Nigeria with nothing to show for all the time she spent abroad.

    2. You are evil anonymous 19:55 to wish her such ...She's better than you because those kids are British citizen...When a child is born here and stays here in UK till 10 automatically that child gets registered as a British and the mum files in....No child can sleep on the street in United Kingdom no matter the mum immigration status. Jealous Somebody.

    3. Anonymous 19:55, at least she's better than you because her children by now would be UK citizens and in good schools. When your children stand next to hers in the future, her children will be better than yours.
Ure such a wicked person and may the Almighty God punish you, why call her your friend if you can spite and be happy a fellow human being is going through such difficulty.
Women: Let's be careful the way we think and what we wish others🀷🏾‍♀️. If she's not working she would definitely have been given accommodation by the council and the council will also find her job to do at the job centre. Her kids will not be miserable like yours because they get weekly allowance from the government which Nigeria will never give yours.
Ure a bittered soul and may you reap bountiful harvests of bitterness. I hope you find a man to marry you. Eyan buruku ni eeee, πŸ§™‍♀️πŸ¦‡πŸ¦‡.
      Geraout of here 😏😏😏

  29. Stella,

There is a generations of older and mature Nigerian men abroad who totally wasted, useless & highly horrific and disastrous in terms of family life with them and any woman for marriage. So, Nigerian women beware!!!
**You can not have kids with a gigolo & expect any good social or any beneficial economic support from him!
**You can not have child with a pimp and expect him to stand by you for any assurances of security & stability for your life!
**You can not have child with a drug dealer, yahoo boy, 419, jobless or broke & exploitative criminal man and then expect to be safe with your child(ren) with him!

They system abroad especially for Europe and America, Canada is made in a way that very quickly you arrive and start living over there, u become immediately identified by authorities (on record & in the system) permanently, tracked, weeded out automatically when you r up to no good!!! So there is not chance for any lazy person, criminal minded, devious, or twisted way life to succeed for entire without getting flagged and punished. Even if u r there family member, baby mama, girlfriend or wife... whatever, u may be roped in & suffer consequences.

It is time to start educating the young generation of Nigerian especially those from poor backgrounds who sees abroad husband as do or die thing, and way to escape their miserable existence back home, that many men or boys you see "living abroad" are either:
    *ILLEGAL & UNDOCUMENTED
*MARRIED OR INVOLVED WITH ANOTHER WOMAN FOR PAPERS, MONEY, SURVIVAL THINGS ETC
*INVOLVED IN TERRIBLE CRIMES AND MAY HAVE CRIMINAL RECORDS.
*UNEMPLOYED OR UNDEREMPLOYED, BANKRUPT WITH NO GOOD CREDIT OR AVAILABILITY OF CASH TO SUSTAIN A PARTNER IN RELATIONSHIP
*GAYS, HOMOSEXUAL OR BISEXUAL & VERY DECEPTIVE.
THEY MAY BE SINGLE, DIVORCED, SEEMLY AVAILABLE TO THE ORDINARY EYES, BUT HAVE NO PLAN TO MARRY U WELL & TAKE RESPONSIBILITIES OR CARE FOR U.
*NOT RELIABLE, READY FOR ANY COMMITMENT, HAVE BAD INTENTIONS TO EITHER INVOLVE U IN THE SEX INDUSTRY, DRUG BUSINESS, FRAUD OR SOME OTHER MISCHIEF.

Simply, these men are only looking for "someone to come & suffer with with them" in Europe, America, or Canada.
If u r in the right frame of ur mind, WILL U HAVE CHILD(REN) UNDER THOSE CIRCUMSTANCES???

  32. Let me talk about Canada
    1. Student visa is fast and easy, you get at least 1year post graduate work permit. You can covert to PR immediately after that
    2. Permanent residence, though costly but awesome. You can covert to citizenship after 3 years.
Your child becomes a citizen when you have them but they are not your guarantee to stay put
