Some have long cut off from them and settled in other areas, thereby making their growing children believe the new base is their village.
I still remember the man I served in his school during NYSC, he was a pastor from Ijebu-Ode but he hardly visited his home. Even when he visited because of a burial, no member of his family ate any food prepared there. They would all fast till they returned to their base.
I know of a widow who after her husband's burial ran away from his family and never looked back. Today her sons are grown and her daughters are married but they do not know their village because their mum warned them not to get close or there would be serious spiritual repercussions.
During her daughters' traditional marriages, she organised it in her brother's house instead of the village and only sent the bride price to them. Her husband's family do not know what the children look like neither do the children know any of their father's people.
The fear of Village people is the beginning of Wisdom.....
If the "village people" operate with the powers of darkness, where is the
ReplyDeletepower of God?
People run away from Satan because they
do not live holy lives. They live
in hypocrisy.
Wisdom is profitable to direct
DeleteWisdom is profitable to direct
DeleteAnon13:09 you mumu no be small if your own village people are soft on you better thank your God. Me I ran for my life.
DeleteEven Jesus Christ was taken into hiding when an angel warned about to be tempered with by herod, couldn't the power of God had killed herod then? Abraham nko? God told him to move from his people to a land he will show him and the God blessed him there, couldn't God had blessed him there? How about Joseph? His own village people (siblings )sold him into slavery. Abeg be wise like a serpent and be gentle like a dove. Thanks
Igbo family wey no dey visit their village and him children no dey hear igbo we dey call dem my mama tell me say I be igbo ,those ones don to bat
ReplyDeleteHuh, can you really run from them, you don't know spiritual people, you don't need to give them your address they know already. Only God can protect us..
ReplyDeleteThat's how we were running from my maternal uncle, only for us to wake up one morning saw him combing his hair in our sitting room, he actually slept in our house without anyone knowing, no one opened the door for him oh, he said "sebi una dey run from me, so i say make i come visit una " we all knelt down and beg him that day, when he was leaving he said"we web be witch know everything, you nor surprise how I take know your house, if I can kill una, nobody for wake up this morning ". Since then we all go to the village and nothing bad has happened to any of us...
ReplyDeleteLol. This is a funny story
DeleteYou are kidding right?
DeleteHahahahaha that was fearful
DeleteI don't believe this ooo! Is your uncle a spirit? How could he have entered? Or you guys saw his spirit not the real him.
DeleteOoooooMmmmmG!
DeleteYou don't say!!
I had goosebumps reading your comment, this life is a mystery.
Are for real?
DeleteUC baby, this story is very real, he is my mom only brother.. We were all afraid when we saw him.. He later said he just wanted to let us know, we can't run away from village people because they already know where we are and where we live, they can harm us without we coming down to the village, we started visiting him till he died.. The story is very real, he told me things only I knew about..That man was just something else when he was alive..
Delete😂😂 the fear of village people
ReplyDeletesdk is right.dont show to IKALE people that u have arrived.if u try dat.u are gone.IKALE means wickedNess of the land in ondo
ReplyDeleteYou cannot really run from village people if they mean to pursue you except you are prayerful.Village people that their powers cannot go abroad,is that one village people
ReplyDeleteAnakogheri....
ReplyDeleteThis mindset is what makes our values and traditions go on extinct. People tend to forget that this village people's battle is mostly spiritual and so even if you go to kafachan they can still get to you.
If this people you talked off are really delivered from village peoples power why have they not surpassed most of the well known names we hear of who are mostly resident in their hometowns or have their lives become trouble free?.We wrestle not against flesh and blood nne and Wisdom to be guided is the principal thing
Apt!
DeleteOnly God can protect us from evil
ReplyDeleteVillage people or not, God protects His own
ReplyDeleteAll these fear of village people and not visiting village does not stop anyone from being harmed.
ReplyDeleteYou don't need to go to the village before getting harned.
They just sit one place and call your spirit if you like dey America, you go answer present ma.
What people should do is embrace Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Saviour
Today you are calling on embracing Jesus Christ, next post you will be hailing fornication/ adultery!
DeleteBabe, choose a stand and stand by it.
OK, bye.
Shut up. Did I stand on your head? Are you the PA to God? Go and tell God I support fornication idiot
DeleteHahahahaha.. calm down na
DeleteYori but you know she is saying the truth. Stop blowing hot and cold, even God does not like lukewarmness.
DeleteLol @ did I stand on your head... 😂
DeletePastor Chris Oyakhilome even with all his anointing visited his village when his dad died. That was when he erected a building in the village. They buried their dad and since then OYO. Wisdom is profitable to direct.
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmmm!
DeleteI visited my home town once and that was when I lost my paternal grand mother.the woman did not even get to see I and my twin brother cos my dad never allow us visit until he lost his mother.I feel for the old woman sha.
ReplyDeleteOh dear!
DeleteSome people run from them because out of sight is out of mind.
ReplyDeleteSatan has power but God's Power is greater. If you have not seen the work of village people. You won't appreciate God's protection.
Raising children without letting them know their village and background is a no no for me
ReplyDeleteI wonder why wickedness abound in this part of the world or the world in general. I no know my papa people o, most of them till he died and we went for burial. I no wan that kind of life for my kids. Let them know their roots and God will protect them.
ReplyDeleteI seriously don't agreed with this post...its just a selfish thought from most of us. An uncle died lf recent, i live in lagos just like him and i never met thr wife talk more his kids but what amazed me more was that his own mother dont even know his kids, this is someone that was married for 16years its not fair on the poor old woman ..is it a crime to live in the village? Most women agree with this idea because they dont want family interference..to me family is everything. We keep proclaiming the power in the blood of Jesus yet we live in fear..sweet mouthed and half baked christians please let us embrace christ genuinely and above all have a pure heart towards anyone and everyone and i can tell you with a clean heart and good thoughts towards everyone no one can ever hurt you.
ReplyDelete@Tendermee! Waoh!!! Your last paragraph is it!
ReplyDeleteThat is how I went to the village on 22/12/18 they were asking where is ur sister, I was foolishly answering she's coming tomorrow. Tomorrow she get accident die on Christmas day u see village people no be am. I learned the hard way
ReplyDeleteI come from umumede, bin der once for ma grandma burial 15 yrs ago.i heard dey are so wicked der ooo
ReplyDeleteI stay in the village. I have pot full of charms I use on people from ibi, agba mkpuraki, madness to failure in biz. It is wonderful to be feared.
ReplyDeleteLack of infrastructure encourages these witchcraft.
ReplyDeleteOnce they see how life can be sweet , they will change and stop being bad....Lol
Being good doesn't protect one from evil happenings....
This life is full of mystery...
