Sunday In House Gists - Uncomfortable Testimonies...

I don't know bout you but there are some Testimonies i hear and i fall into shock!!!
I know we don't have a right to Judge what someones testimony should be but please read further and agree or disagree with what you read!

Like when....

...Someone thanks God that their perceived enemy has died!..(Is this the will of God?)

...Someone gives a testimony in Church because they got a visa to travel abroad! (Is this a testimony?Come on!)

....Someone thanks God that they are pregnant at 60!..(I don't know if this is a testimony but old age will not allow anyone of this age give the child good parenting)

....Someone gives testimony of graduating with good grades after sorting the lecturers ..(This happens ).....Someone aborts a child and they almost die and give a testimony in Church!!

....Someone snatches Husband or wife and gives Testimony in church on the Sunday after the Saturday wedding!!!

There are many more I can mention but i will leave you to post Testimonies that makes you uncomfortable.....

Some things we are just lucky and they have nothing to do with God....
Those things i mentioned up there,do they fall into Testimonies?
Let's talk please!

  1. Yes getting a visa to go abroad is a big testimony. At this time when a lot of people wish they weren’t even born Nigerian.

Getting pregnant at 60 is a beautiful thing. It’s almost medically impossible, you don’t know how long that person has been desiring a child. And being a 60 year old has never stopped anyone from giving good parenting advice. Matter of fact, you should give better advice because of your wealth of experience

    1. 95% of the time, those visas are for tourism and only allow the recepient to legally stay in that country for up to 120 days whilst that visa is valid!!

Trying to migrate to another country without proper documentation is illegal!! You cannot give testimony on illegality! #StopJustifyingRubbish

    4. do you know the bible warned against treating strangers to your land badly, immigration is illegal but not a sin. Stella some 60 yr old have had no choice but to bring up an abandoned or orphaned child(ren)by the time she is 75 the child would be 15,and at 15 I personally started teaching after secondary school, so 60 isn't bad if there are resources to take care of the kid.

What I read up there made no mention of illegality, I myself made no mention of illegality.
You saying that 95% of visas granted is for tourism only is a big fat lie that can’t be backed.
People apply for visas to go to school, to go do business, to go and work, to go see friends and family members, for immigration purposes (immigration visa is still visa). Even if it is for tourism purposes only, it is a testimony to whoever because the person got it in a legal manner.
So I don’t understand what on earth you are on about.

  3. Stella nothing like luck.it is called grace.now to my story..
there is someone who is devoted on the altar.he gave a testimony that he got a call to come to ring road and claim his parcel from DHL.
Mind you he said he was not expecting any parcel neither was he called from anyone that he will receive a parcel.he got there only to be arrested that he had bought a stolen phone the previous month.
He was later released after 3 days.
Now my own is this was a case of greed.u are a married man.you know how scammers flood everywhere.
DHL does not have an office in ring road rather airport road.
You are not expecting any parcel.
It was not brought to your house..
You were not asked to come to their office.the next thing u enter road to go and claim parcel..

  4. A woman pregnant at 60 is not a testimony to you really???Do you know how she must have struggled to become a mom or previous tears?? And good parenting have nothing to do with age..Visa is worth testifying for madam.Come back to Nigeria and stay naa.If applying for Visa and getting it is not worthy to be a testimony.Go to major embassies and see the thousands of people that are apply and trying to get in.And if you are in a church that wedded a person that is still lawfully wedded and was snatched,or a girl going in to details of how she aborted and was saved,Then check to make sure you are still in a Church and not Shrine.

    1. Sorry oh, but does the fact that everyone else died in an accident mean that the only survivor shouldn't testify? Just like a couple who have been blessed with a newborn shouldn't smile because in the same hospital, perhaps on the same ward, is another couple whose baby didn't make it? Maybe newlyweds should stop celebrating because there are some strangers and even their own loved ones who are yet to marry? And people should stop taking pictures during their Matric "so they can be sensitive to those who failed JAMB and won't enter university that year".

People will be serious and studious till the start enjoying 'University life'. That was her case. She was a book worm in Ist year and her grades were good. Babe started enjoying herself by year two. Her grades started dropping. When she was in fourth year going to fifth, she decided to sit up. Her grades became better again. She even started going to church more often.

We just dey church one day oo when she picked up the microphone to give her testimony. Lo and behold, she said her friend and roommate used her pen to exchange her brain and that was why she was failing. That the girl switched a pen with hers and that was how her brain was exchanged. According to her testimony, she saw it in her sleep. She said she had to even fight the girl in the physical realm. People laughed sha. It caused a lot of arguments. But we all knew what's up. But wetin we go do nau..Na her testimony.

I have had series of miscarriages, i lost a set of twins 2yrs ago, my story is long and some people mocked me, the one that said I and my husband are using the children for ritual, nor be say we get money, lost triplet last month and even called me when she almost lost her life to pray for her, she apologized. Just yesterday i heard another one, a married woman who has eyes on my hubby and mocked me in her word "I heard your wife has lost another baby? Na wa oo, where u for jam that kind girl sef?" And hubby asked her who told you she said "you know i gat my eyes on you". She had a baby last November and d baby died.

I just smiled like God. Atleast they now know how it feels.

  19. Stella, your travelling and relocating abroad may have been easy hence you don't see it as a testimony. I laugh in my husband's native dialect.

There's no such thing as luck that has nothing to do with God. That you have been favoured by God in an area doesn't mean that someone giving testimony in that area, is in error. Everything we have, we were given whether by God or the devil. Even something as simple as university admission abroad is not automatic for even abroadian residents or citizens! Sometimes, they make the right grades but something happens and they don't get into university of their choice. And those are the ones that don't have village people sitting on their destiny in one coven. Then e come be the one we know where they can sit on your picture and the first sponge they used to bathe you.

I'm very educated. I've seen things with my eyes that have no logical explanation. Wait till you see teenagers getting pregnant and having abortions without regard for themselves. Then, you see a young couple that have no medical problem or incompatibility yet cannot have children and no specialist can help them. You will put all your education aside, lie flat on your face before God and ask Him how far.

There are situations that don't understand and can't be solved by aspri-aspri grammar, oh! Where the speaking of grammar is even making the problem, worse. I have been involved in cases where if not for God, my heart for cut. Because when they call you and say, "We heard you're the only one that can give a different outcome" and I hear it and even my abroad education is telling me there is no hope. Then, they list the people you believe are better than you, that they have been to. That's when you'll know that there's nothing like luck. My husband has the same testimonies. We can say our success is cos we're brilliant and have commonsense. But statistically speaking, when I look at those my husband and I went to school with - leave matter.

There's a reason that many people don't become rich after listening to motivational speakers. You can work 12hrs a day and still be poor, broke and disgusted - leave matter.

Until one does everything perfectly, crosses the "T" and dots the "I", goes above and beyond YET it doesn't work out, doesn't click and it defines human understanding yet It's not your fault. That is when you will know that there's a difference between luck and blessing that can't be explained and testimonies that defiles logic.

  22. The weirdest testimonies I have ever heard usually comes from women.... Most of them have a particular way of giving testimony in church.
*They thank God for a successful abortion of innocent babies (yes, I have witnessed it in the abroad)

*Some thank God for getting all the attention that they want from their husband (whereas, they are second or third wives)

*One actually thank God for killing her brother who has been tormenting her.
(she said different pastors and prophets told her that her brother was the one tormenting her) her life is still as stagnant as the word itself.

People lie a lot in church all in the name of giving testimony.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Some testimonies are real, my elder sister waiting for 12 years before she could have her own child. Will you say is not a testimony? Those that lie, take other people’s husband, wife, money and share it as testimonies leave them for God to judge them.

    1. Mine waited for 19years. No physical abi medical reason. They went to the best hospitals in the country, travelled to the US nothing was seen, came to the UK same tori, go Canada all IVF failed, and she said she wasn't doing again. She married as a virgin, she and her husband are tongue talking Christian no be say them say yet they waited for 19years. Stayed faithful to God and their local church, didn't go to any babalawo or come and claim pickin from basin of water nonsense.
So now the baby finally came, it was a miracle, the naming of the child brought numerous couples TTC who they didn't know who came to see with their eyes and claim God's blessings. Now you will tell them not to give testimony because she gave birth at almost 50years okwaya Stella?

When one has logic defying life experience, then know that no matter how long it took to get it, it is for a purpose.
Abraham waited for how long? Hannah for how long? The Israelites for how many years under Pharaoh? Some testimonies are delayed because His ways are not ours.

    5. Anon 22:18 Do you know God? I didn't ask which church you attend. You and your husband need to talk to God and ask Him exactly what you should do.

Have I seen a woman without a womb give birth? Not yet. Does that make it impossible? Lol. I'll tell you some things I've seen that till today I don't understand. A friend of mine found out she was pregnant and two days later, she landed in hospital. To protect her privacy, I won't say what was wrong with her but I went to the hospital to see her and when I saw the situation, I won't lie I was afraid. It was a specialist hospital in the UK. The only one that could deal with the condition she had. The drugs they gave her to get the situation under control were so powerful, the doctors told her there's no way she won't miscarry. Yet, she told me that God had given her and her husband the name of the child in separate dreams. I attended the baby dedication of that same child that the best doctors in the UK said couldn't be carried to full-term in her mother's body. That child is alive today and the couple even have a second child. This I saw with my own eyes. No backyard hospital with quack doctors was involved, oh. These were the best specialists in that field in all of the UK. But God.

Some years after the above experience, doctors presented me with a report and said my husband would die. Two days after my birthday. "There's nothing more we can do for him". I started laughing like a mad person because I had heard God already. And I remembered my friend's case. Have you seen where bad news is competing for your attention? Where people that say they're Christians, just wake up and start saying something is happening because you must have offended God. Yet, they're suggesting juju. It's the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life but I remember saying, "Whatever God cannot do, let it remain undone. But I won't accept help from the devil and open the door for him to take something else." My husband is alive and well today.

I don't know what God will tell you - surrogacy, adoption or carrying your own child. But I know that if He intends to have you carry your own children, He will do whatever it takes to make it happen. Facts change, He doesn't.

    6. My most loved uncle and wife waited 10 solid years without a child,They weren't rich but My uncle went to every hospital mentioned to get help,Local therapist were not overlooked too and churches got their fair share of visitations but one sweet thing is that God is not a man that he should lie nor the son of man that he should repent.

Every hospital they visited confirmed them medically fit and every true church they visited told them to keep trusting God that in his time they'll have children and begin to beg God that they were tired.Fast forward to seven years after marriage my Aunty stopped the running around and focused on her local church serving God in the capacity she could then after Three years it happened.

My uncle's wife went to Onitsha to rest in his brothers place and was falling off and on sick bed so she excused herself to go back to the village for proper medical attention as she didnt want to inconvenience her host.Babes got back and dived in on Typhoid and Malaria treatment but she wasn't getting any better so the husband called my Mum and mum told him to take her to the hospital and run proper general test Pregnancy inclusive(According to mum my uncle hissed and told her that they are suspecting hepatitis she's there talking about Pregnancy but Mumsy insisted).

5 days after their conversation my sweet uncle called Mumsy and was crying which got mum scared only for mum to ask what the problem was and my uncle broke the news that his wife was Pregnant and was already 4months gone and they didn't know as she was seeing her period the whole time.He further went to say that the doctor told them to be worried about the health status of the unborn child because there was possibility of the baby coming out deformed due to side effects of the drugs they had previously taken.Fast forward to 5months later my Uncle's wife birthed a healthy baby girl(Very cute Pikin) According to her the labour lasted less than 30mins and her bundle of joy came forth her dedication was the talk of town that even the king of our village came for the reception unannounced because everybody around knew their story as my uncle and wife were/are true examples of a Christian in both words and demonstration.

It's four years down the line now and baby Munachimso is the smartest 4years I know(You wouldn't even believe she's being raised in the village) and to prove the word of God she has two younger ones(Twin boys),Aunt had a miscarriage in August last year but according to mum who came back from village recently babe is pregnant again and showing already so my dear There are Testimonies you see and say to yourself Truly there is a God in heaven the most Powerful.

Ps:Baby Muna came when the dad was 52 and the mum 45(My uncle is an only son/child who did not marry on time because he was in a relationship with this his wife for over Nine years and they wanted to put some fundamental things in place before living as man and wife the brother you read of up there is a Step brother).

So Stella I think people should be allowed to thank God for whatever reason they care to so far it doesn't glorify the devil low key.Allow God be God cos he isn't one that brings one out and leaves you for disgrace.

Sorry for the Epistle oh na as the thing take hold me na so I drop am.

  24. That Nigerians have bastardised testimonies and have no shame, doesn't mean that God doesn't work miracles.

If you sort a lecturer, have an abortion, help break a marriage and have no problem with saying it in a place you say is church, then we need to ask the pastor who allowed that in his/her church some serious questions. Cos God's Hand isn't in that mess.

Does God give children to people after many years of waiting? Definitely! The same way He gives wealth, spouses, jobs, healing, and university admission to some people immediately and to others after some years. Do you think a 60yo woman wouldn't have preferred to be pregnant at the age of 24? That she enjoyed all the taunts and name-calling she was subjected to?

God's timing is His for whatever reason makes sense to Him. Sometimes, your waiting for your own isn't cos you did anything wrong or God is angry with you. In the eyes of God, time just never reach. Before God opened Sarah's womb (Genesis 21:1), there was nothing she could do to be pregnant. Till Jesus was ready to be come as a baby, meaning He needed a forerunner, there was nothing that Zechariah and Elizabeth could do to produce a child.

Even here in Nigeria, last year the wife of Amb Don Odunze was delivered of triplets after 17years of waiting. 17yrs during which a lot of people didn't even know. 17yrs during which that man and his wife prayed for other people and children came. 17yrs in which few people who knew, said things no sane or sensible human being should say. Do you know what it's like for your faith in God to be the thing people use to abuse you? When something never do you, e dey like film trick.

  26. Our former landlord's daughter gave a testimony in her church, that finally his brother has sent his wife who couldn't birth him a boy after four girls, parking. Mind you she's older than her brother and not married. Few months later, her brother reconciled with his wife who was pregnant then. She later gave birth to a boy... Praise God.
And do you know what?..... The aunty gwegwegwe should be in her early fifties now yet unmarried. She hates her brother with a passion for taking back his wife.

  27. Ghost workers, but will still attend church like their lives depend on it. They and their likes call it God's "favour". What a mindset.
