    2. The line that got me;
"200 dollars is not my problem..."
Meaning if the offer was like 200 thousand dollars, this lady
      would have vanished!
      😯😯😯😯😯😯
Your greed is what they work on!

    3. She even sat down to listen to all the gist! You are lucky the juju did not sweep you away! Next time you see one dollar, you better take off! Mtchewwww

    4. This format is as old as Nigeria herself.
My sis and I entered their vehicle in 2005 in Anambra. My sis was prepping for her wedding so we had gone to buy souvenirs...I had even started calculating how much my share would be in Naira when they suggested we go to our house to share the loot so people wouldn't see us. As soon as we got to a habitated area my sis just told the driver to stop for us to come down...she already knew from the outset that they were scammers but the greed in me almost fell for them

  2. She still had the mind to stay back and witness the argument,me i would drop fast the moment i notice any foul play.

  3. Hmmn yes o. I have entered about 3 vehicles with this same kinda story. Twice from Ajah junction and once in port harcourt. Me I don’t even bother talking to them. Immediately I just notice their nonsense, I’ll just jejely highlight from the vehicle because I heard in some cases immediately u respond to them you just immediately forget yourself...

    1. People who respond are usually greedy. That's the only reason this kind of juju can catch anyone.

    2. Alight from the vehicle

    3. That is true. The day I entered that kind of car from Aguda market to Ojuelegba, once the first guy alighted and gave the driver dollar, I didnt even wait for their argument. I just got down and entered bike, I even threw the transport money to the driver to show you how fast I got out. And right before the bike moved, I saw the guy that came down still enter the car back and left with the driver. That is their strategy. And they only get the greedy and long throat people

    4. shut up...what do you mean people who respond are usually greedy? they can just ask you a question and as you answer you get hypnotized. and its not like they ask you outright if you want money..not in all cases so stop being bloody judgmental

      Delete
    5. No, they don't just ask a question and you get hypnotized. THEY ARE GREEDY!

    6. The one I entered was a keke at Ejigbo. As a passenger sitting next to me dropped and the next thing the driver said, "na dollar this man give me oh". He then drove forward to meet the guy already walking and told him "na dollars you give me".
The passenger then said, in the most igbotic accent, "sorry, I no speak english. I from Cote d'Ivoire."
Me, I no even engage with them. I alighted from the keke and entered the next one. I no even pay them. As I was going, I looked back and saw that Mr. Igbotic Ivorian had entered back into the keke.

      Them fuckers are useless.

  7. this is an old trick now....i am even surprised that the writer hadnt heard of this old trick. you were lucky because you for be better meat for them. next time you see dollars or hear about load in the booth better alight and go your way. if you waste another time it would be another story ooo

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. U got it...dat load in the booth has happened to me twice. They would pretend to go to the booth to bring down a passengers load and den come back to the car and start talkin about dollars in the booth. The way i got out of d cars ehn

  8. I know these guys. They used to drive a car. I have been in their car twice. I think I can recognize theme if I see them again. lol. The Senegalese pretends not to understand English and acts like he's speaking french- but it's not really french (i speak decent french and i could not understand a word he said neither could he understand me). It was the same M.O.both times. They take the Cele, Lawanson, Ojuelegba route. Funny think is, I think the policemen around Cele are aware of their antics and allow it.
the second time i got in their car and they started acting, i burst out laughing, they joined in, took me to work and promised to avoid me. But I think I got off easy, they could have been violent or worse...

  14. Is not all about knowing all their tactics. sometimes we're victims of circumstances we can not explain how it happened.
Before you leave your house, say a short and meaningful prayer to this effect.
alot of things are happening in the world today especially in this clime.
God will continue to show us mercy in Jesus name...AMEN.

  16. Is not new. It has happened to me over ten years ago. Immediately the guy came down from the car and gave the driver money , the driver opened it and said it is not naira. The passenger said it is Cameroon money. That he just came into town and that is the only money with him. They driver asked him to enter the car so that we all can go and change the money. Immediately I started shouting thief! Thief!! Thief, they pushed me out of the car and drove off.

  17. This is a very old truck, I've entered cabs like this more than once the key to not falling victim is to keep quiet just tell the driver to stop you and you won't fall victim.

  21. This is not new. I'm just surprised it happens in this Lagos too. I have experienced it firsthand in abuja along kubwa express. The story is exactly same as my experience. Exactly same, only difference is that when the so-called foreigner wanted to re-enter the taxi so the driver would take us to Area 1 to change the dollar note, I JUMPED out of the car. My feet were literally shaking cos it was that same week a colleague brought it to my notice. Thank God for this lady.

Please, if you ever find yourself in this situation, don't wait to engage in any argument with them. Just run out. Some have joined the conversation and lost their minds in the process. Yes. In some cases, you only need to interfere and that's all.

  23. I have has this kind of experience way back like 10 years ago, mine was 3rd mainland bridge.
I got into the unpainted cab, before iyana woro, can't remember the name of the exact stop now. The cab has the sticker of the two major Churches in Nigeria, and that was my mumu code.
Long story, but to keep it short, the drama was on till we got to Adeniji stop, and knew there was a Police check point there, nah there gangan l cut chain, see shout. There were two men and two in the car.
Nah so Alhaji, dollar matter and a crying woman in the front seat started, everything they said l agreed. I only made sure l sat by the door. Patapata all of us go fall inside water, until l got to the check point.
    Long story.
    Thank God today again.

  26. Very Old trick. This happened to me along Oregun Ojota road just opposite MDS in 2007. I was on afternoon shift and was running late, so I quickly entered a waiting cab. We haven't gone far when the one at the back got down and paid the driver and then the exact scenario up there played out. Initially I was curious when the man said I should follow them to where they will change dollars but as we were going he veered off the road to a street off Oregun(cant remember the name of the street now but it had a mosque). He parked and started talking about chemicals, there and then I knew they were together. They dipped one piece of paper in the chemical and it turned to fake currency, they said I should bring money so they could get me the chemicals. It was at that point I ran out of the car and Stood far off and was shouting 419,419. No one even stopped to listen to me. I thank God my curiosity didn't land me in trouble.

  29. It has happened to me in Festac Lagos and in benin city along BDPA to Uwasota/new benin or ring road.

both cases they were women, and instead of frenchman, it was a houseboy with a white gay oga and his dollars (which the houseboy stole)

They have posed as pastors to sell fake chemical that changes stones to gold etc etc,
Please educate and re educate your elderly ones who are very susceptible to fall victim
