Perhaps, BVs here do not expect some high ranking Public figures to read this blog talk more of posting.. As an advice, it's always good to be cautious and respectful in our comments and keep it decent. Much as I shouldn't have brought out my issue I appreciate those who were objective in their reasoning.
We do not know WHO is WHO here. They may even be top employers/ Executives/philanthropists here. Everything is not about insult.
Yes, the wedding in question has come and gone. The post came out late. I did not attend as a self respecting woman and i am glad I did not by what my daughter told me happened.
It was strictly by invite. Infact i learnt even those that had cards cannot regain entry if you go out of the hall without your card.
My daughter was not involved in anything. She had expected to be CBM but it was all family affair. She Sat as any other person all through. She herself wasn't too pleased.. I also want the house to know she was not given any card for me,. The birthday call was over 2 months before the wedding. No date was given. Do you gatecrash? NO I am far above that. She said apart from the bridal shower, No friend was carried along in the actual wedding. It's their choice so its Okay but I do respect my self and office.
All the same I called and congratulated her and she was pleased but so apologetic too. I plan to get a gift when i am back to town. Will send through my daughter.. No hard feelings!
Once again I thank Stella and those who could see beyond their nose.. Perhaps if you are to know my identity you will understand. Lol,,,,,,I stll don't regret being here and sometime having fun letting down the steam by reading through Sdk blog. It can be entertaining minus the insult. God bless all.
O OK OOOO
ReplyDeleteMadam go straight to the point. Noone cares about your job or who you are. Mtcheeew
DeletePlease could this be madam Lawretta Onochie?
DeleteDear Anonymous, that's rude. Like she said you don't know who is who. And you never know. And never say never.
DeleteImagine you needing help to someone you have insulted without knowing. Let's be civil.
Not surprise you had to go anonymous to be this rude
DeletePlease why should we be concerned about who you are? Do you know who we are as well? We are all important in the eyes of God so madam get off your high horse. I love Stella because she allows everyone be themselves and express how they feel. Do not be class captain over our lives. Carry your matter somewhere else where people will pander to you.
DeleteSelf respecting person my ass!
A note to dop........🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐
DeleteSometimes do not be hash on people 😘
Omashe o Anonymous. This is how some of you will use your mouth to destroy your destiny. Trust me when I say, you really don;t know who is who on this blog so be very respectful.
DeleteMadam, no disrespect we don’t care about your position or your office or who you are. Some people think they are gods when they have little. This post shows you and your daughters character. I hope her childhood friend runs away from both of you and God bless them beyond measure. They are right not to include friends like you
DeleteWell done ma'am.
ReplyDeleteIt's good you called to congratulate her.
Madam Lawretta Onochie. Is that you?
DeleteAll is well that ends well.

ReplyDeleteOh wow....they sent out invites but didn’t send you any?
ReplyDeleteIt’s good you didn’t go.
One has to be careful with such people.
Madam we know even buhari and Thrump read this blog so we know who is who. I didn't comment on your chronicle but people react differently. Don't come and tell us who you are cos I Choputas not.
ReplyDeleteBtw good afternoon MA
What envy make people like you say ehnnn
DeleteClear case of bitter bile is what your comment is all about. Nothing based on facts
Smdh
Fan Emmanuel you are fool
DeleteFan, please be courteous for once in your life, it won’t hurt / cost you anything.
DeleteCan you just read the message and move on rather than being rude and envious?
Get a life!
Who let the dogs out woof woof woof
DeleteI know this poster's type,
I've attended a wedding were there was no high table calling. Every body was treated equally (big man's wedding ooo).. A rich woman was just complaining that they didn't call for high table and she left not too long out of anger LMAO.
All ye "rich" people that wants to be treated special it is time for you all to HUMBLE YOURSELVES. Ndi shoulder pads
You Choptas not but if she announces a giveaway, you will start grovelling and begging, mannerless child!!!
DeleteFan you're so disrespectful,
DeleteI weep for your children , I just feel bad that you might end up training children that would be a problem to the society judging by your stinky attitude.
And Na school teacher o. God save our kids
DeleteSis @fan that's not good enough.
DeleteSluttychic.
Fan, check out BV Marigold's comment below. Very similar to yours but you lack tact, that's why your comments often come across as bitter.
DeleteThe case of a girl without morals. You are really heartbroken. Go help your life. You are really sick.
DeleteFan, that is not cool.
DeleteFan, you should that sounds like jelousy and someone with out manners. Nobody cares about who anyone is on this blog but we are Africans and should respect our elders.
DeleteNo hard feelings.😜
Perxian, leave let her wallow in her ignorance
DeleteSluttybaby na only you I go listen to.😍😍
DeletePerxian
DeleteEssay
Rosie😍😍😍✋
Fan show the evidence of your up bringing. Your mum would so be ashamed of you. Poverty has eaten deep into your mind, body and soul
DeleteI guess some of you are new here. If madam fan perceive you're a doing OK, she will start to beef you. Envy is her second name.
DeleteEverybody cannot be on your level.
I know you will come for me, which is not new but like I always do, I will ignore you.
Fan, come on! Why speak to the poster like that?
DeleteI don't see anything bad in the previous chronicle neither is there any in the update.
Cool it down sometime fan.
Poster, I respect the fact that you called to congratulate her, that's how good mothers acts.
Awww Ms.A you na my person.
DeleteIf I don't listen to you and some people, naim be say I no get sense
Lol Fan you are funny.
DeleteAproko the unpleasant barking dog. I see you as usual. One day monkey go go market but she no go return.
DeleteFan darling 🤗😘❤️
DeleteSee monkey wey still dey roam around for market 🤣😂😂😂😂 local champion!
DeleteHUSTLE OOOOOO.....so the thot of someone being high ranking or RICH won't be making you hyper-ventilate and go into cardiac arrest.
DeleteYou have no sense fan. This woman is old enough to be your mother. She has grown children.
DeleteAnd you call yourself a mother.
Bed I will keep peppering you on this blog. I PROMISE
DeleteFan was rude to that poster but she's happy and commending those that spoke to her politely. What a contrast.
DeleteHumility pays
DeleteFan you need love in your life because that's what will make you life sweeter.
You are bitter and you lack respect.
I won't even bother to reply you.
SMH
DeleteMadam I will do same in Ur shoes,
ReplyDeleteWe get to a stage in life we don't demand respect cos we have already earned it due to age, status, etc.
I value my self esteem so much to not encroach where I am not called.
Some bvs thought otherwise but it is what it is.
Age doesn't earn you respect
DeleteWhen an elder comes to your house pls show him no rrspect
DeleteAn elder is an elder even in the western world.
Delete@Marigold, age can earn you respect.
She has attained a high status in life via her office it commands demands respect. If it’s not given then I don’t blame her for shunning the wedding. Can you invite the queen or a governors wife over the phone? They won’t show up.
DeleteIt ended well...Happy ending
ReplyDeleteMy dad told me when I was a teenager that if u ain’t invited to occasion be it ur bestie ooo or even brother/sister Do not go because if u mistakenly pour rice on the floor u will be asked who invited you. I picked that up. Dear poster am glad u didn’t attend not like u had a bad intention but the fact that u realized that u ain’t that important to them as u thought.God bless u as u give her gift.
ReplyDeleteExactly I hate attending functions I'm uninvited to ,
DeleteNot everyone likes to be where they're not invited.
I agree with the poster. Some of y'all need to chill out. This is an online community alright but insulting someone you don't even know? Seriously? Send love& light and you will get in return, send bitterness and hate and you most definitely WILL receive in kind. Always be respectful no matter what. Anyways, ma'am , good thing you didn't go, if they wanted you there, they would have sent the invite.
ReplyDeleteThe sad thing is that ,
DeletePeople lack courtesy simply cos they can afford to comment ,
I mean it doesn't hurt to be courteous and respectful,
What bothers me in all of these is that these people are adults , peoples parents for that matter.
I wonder what they teach their children.
Not to be stupid and become ass lickers and to be able to identify fools and bad influence even if it comes from an aged person
DeleteHaha why do I feel some things were changed to give reason why you didn't attend. Okay o madam high and mighty Stella if you Like those post
ReplyDeleteFan Emmanuel you are becoming a nuisance on tthe his blog! Stella pls call this fool to order. Have some respect this woman(poster) is an elderly woman.
ReplyDeleteAnd how exactly do you know the poster's age?
DeleteIf her daughter is 20, u should mentally calculate her age, abi no be una dey doubt everyone age here? dey even add 15 years join am?
DeleteSince it was strictly by invite better you didn't go.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you too Ma'm
ReplyDeleteAnd for overlooking our imperfections, Thank you very much.
This is the purest form of Nigerian rich man entitlement AKA. "Do you know who I am". Lady you're not a new comer here. Have you ever seen chronicles comment section without a few insults. Did you think you required a different treatment because you're a busy public officer. It's safe to say you don't know the people who commented too. I'm not a fan of some unnecessary insults that are thrown on this blog, but you still sent it in Nonetheless. The beauty of the internet is that EVERYONE is equal (age and class). I'm sorry blog members did not register your importance and use the respect of you office subordinates to talk to you. Anyways apologies on the insult
ReplyDelete👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏✊
DeleteLol at your first sentence. Apt
DeleteWell said MariGold. Well said...
DeleteMeanwhile she is part of this administration that deserve no honour. For that singular fact I don't give a rat ass who she thinks she is. This is a free blog. You can not torment us and handling the affairs of this country with impunity and absolute lack of sensitivity and expect everyone to kiss your feet in this small space where we manage to have freedom of expression.
DeleteMadam, please this is a blog and here we are all equal. Wait till your hate speech bill comes out hinged with death penalty when mere mortals dare speak to you in a certain way. Some of us don't give a shit about your corrupt office.
After you beat Stella for posting your chronicle late, then come and beat me, I dey my house Mrs Entitlement.
DeleteHahahahahahahahahaha.... Saphire has scattered the table😂
DeleteGod bless you Sapphire, darling!
DeleteCouldn’t have been said any better!!!
DeleteCouldn't have said it better Saphire
DeleteThe sad truth is that you can’t see her in real life and talk crap about her in this manner!! You’ll kneel to greet her that’s if the bodyguard lets you come close. The reason why a lot of you are poor is because of your bitterness.
DeleteYou can actually give your opinion without sounding bitter. Saying you don't care who she is yet some people create new blog names just to cheat and win give away. I don't see any need for the insult and beating part, let someone not trace you and beat you up in your house mercilessly and you wonder how you were found out.
DeleteStrictly by Invite? No P, all is well that ends well.
ReplyDeleteGood you called her and will be getting her a gift
ReplyDeleteThat's it. It has ended in praise😊
DeleteI read this Chronicle yesterday or some days back, I didn't comment because Ig was too hot. Sorry if you felt insulted, everyone won't post what you expect sorry.
ReplyDeleteNever go where you are not wanted...how do you know you are wanted? You get an invite!
ReplyDeletePoster It's good you respected yourself and didn't go, great you sent a gift across and placed a call. Everybody is happy and everything ended on a good note.
Ma it's good you didn't go but I say this out of respect why did you have to focus on who you are or who you are not.. #Nigeriabigmanbigwomansyndrome
ReplyDeleteYes you pleaded that no one should insult you but you don't expect everyone to adhere to that even as you were anonymous. Have a thick skin when it comes to this and you may not know too but the pple who insulted you may be bigger than you, not like it gives them the right too though.. Have a lovely day..
Well, even if u had shown up without an invite I'm very sure they wouldn't have turned you back, but I love the fact that you respected yourself, I personally don't go where I'm not invited. And for the fact that you called the bride, nice gesture 👍.
ReplyDeleteYou may not believe this but I don't believe the couple was trying to demean you. This seems to be a generational issue where if something isn't done the way you want it, we start hearing about status, pedigree, respect, self-esteem etc. It's not that deep.
ReplyDeleteYou admitted you hadn't seen the bride for over 10yrs. On the strength of that alone (maybe I'm thick for not understanding but) why would you get an invite? Have you considered that finances may have been an issue for the couple? Or their temperaments? Not everything is about trying to stick it to the older generation.
I prayerfully pronounced for years that "when I'm getting married, ONLY those who are meant to be there will be." When our time came, God literally came through, town elders on both sides did right by my husband and I, and some folk were made unavoidably absent. Sometimes, your generation doesn't realise it's not about you.
Do you know you can be alive, miss your own daughter's wedding and nothing bad will happen? I mean at the end of the day, millions of people can show up but if one of these doesn't - the groom, bride, person joining them - it's just an owambe cos wedding ain't happening.
"Perhaps, BVs here do not expect some high ranking Public figures to read this blog talk more of posting"
ReplyDeletePerhaps, the poster here does not expect some human beings who deserve to be respected for being human to read this blog talk less of posting.
Madam, you did not deserve insults because you are a human being, sefini. Your high public position is merely a position, one that can be taken from you at anytime. My mum was in your shoes some months back until her high ranking position was unjustly taken from her, thank goodness the high ranking public position did not define her and she treated everyone with respect and walked in humility. She would have been in despair now.
Madam, please learn humility, all the people who are calling you 'ma, oga madam, boss" and making you feel important are only respecting you because of your position, the moment you leave that position or the position leaves you, reality will be brewing in your kitchen like coffee.
There's false humility and genuine humility. When you feel the need to announce your position to people, humility is not in your dictionary.
So you said they’re respecting her because of her position? What else are you talking about? Go and drink honey abeg and pray for God to bless you. Bitter foul
DeleteMa, to be honest I wouldn't invite someone I hadn't seen in over 10yrs to my wedding. U made a statement that u were not sure u would be able to attend. That alone took u off d list. Now if u really wanted to attend u could have called to request an invite because u didn't seem like u had kept in touch with d family. They r the ones who called u remember. It all depends on what u r thinking. If I was d one, I would call the mum for an invite, wedding planning is stressful and pple need to know who is coming or not
ReplyDeleteMa. U did well not to attend. Always follow your heart no matter what.
ReplyDeleteI never attend anything I am not invited to. People have their budget and preferences of who they want around them for their occasions.
ReplyDeleteBut ma you didn’t state all this down on your yesterday’s chronicle. You didn’t tell us it was a strictly by invitation stuff cause if it was strictly by Iv and you weren’t given, it’s cause they weren’t expecting you to come. They just informed you for formality sake so it won’t seem like they didn’t tell you.
ReplyDeleteIt’s better you didnt atttend at the end of the day. Even better is that you didn’t try to force a friendship that havnt been alive for 10 years. But please don’t see them as bad people, they just have a lot planning to do.
When your daughter is doing hers, someone will say the same thing somewhere.
Read again, this time slowly.
DeleteIt's good you called.
ReplyDeleteGlad you took d right decision. You are not obligated to get her a gift.
ReplyDeletePls I need a job.
Thank you ma.
This woman sound so arrogant to me.
ReplyDeleteI have not even finished attenting the functions that I am invited to, I will now dress up and attend the one that they didn't invite me to...story for the gods.
ReplyDeletePosted I am happy you didn't attend the wedding, now it is time to treat them as they treat you.
The fact that you were not invited means something but no need worry about that. All you need to know it that you are not important to them so they need to stop been important to you.
Wow, some of you just comment without reading Chronicle with understanding.
ReplyDeleteI have read where poster said the post came out late after the wedding. I have also read where she said the bride is a childhood friend of her daughter and for that reason she felt the need to be at the wedding. Nothing to do with generation. NAWA oooo
So poster should call and beg for invite? Who does that?
All ye who lack respect. This is a faceless blog. Be careful.she is not the cause of your problem or frustration. So rude.Someone is even praying for her daughter to encounter problem when it's her turn. OMG! Why are we like this?
Madam, you did well not showing up. It's called self respect. Some people and the way they reason sha. No wonder so many are not employable in Nigeria. Tufiakwa!!!
Everyone is claiming being equal on the blog but when it’s time for giveaways, enough sob stories.Keypad warriors, you can share your opinion without insults .
ReplyDeleteDon't mind them. This is a generation that lacks respect and courtesy yet feel so entitled. When things don't go right for us we start looking for who to blame.
DeleteAll is well that ends well. Poster I like the fact that you called to congratulate the girl, please ignore the insults, personally I wouldn't attend an event I wasn't invited to.
ReplyDeleteI don't go to event i'm not invited to. I don't take offense either.
ReplyDelete
