Mrs Dee's Corner -Favourite TV Show...

.....So many TV shows have come and gone, but there are a few we'll never get over and our memories of them will always linger because they were informative, entertaining, educating and showed us aspects of human life that are sometimes left untouched.

I still miss the 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' show. Mheen!!!

D id that show teach me things that I didn't know? So much... I will never forget a particular episode where the guy on the hot seat had won N5 million, he had one more question to go and he didn't know the answer so the show host advised him to walk away, but he insisted on playing on. He used 'ask the audience' helpline and unfortunately, he was given a wrong answer and walked away with two hundred thousand naira.
The host felt so bad for him and made an interesting comment;he said ''sometimes wisdom is better than knowledge''.

The one show that should take the crown for breaking the most relationships is ' The Moment Of Truth'.

I don't know if it still airs, but the truth told on that show shattered a lot of hearts. On several episodes, I saw best friends drift apart because one always stole from the other, an employee with the Fire Department confessed to ignoring some distress call while her boss was watching. A boyfriend said he would choose his parents' decision over his girl's and one even confessed that she never enjoyed intimacy with her husband but always faked it, the hubby broke down in tears.

The best TV show for me was 'Gulder Ultimate Search'. The show embodied adaptation to harsh environment and the ability to survive in it. It taught resilience, using your intelligence to navigate through tough situations and forming lasting friendships.
I miss these shows and have not found a replacement for them.....

*I miss the 'New Masquerade' and ''The Village Headmaster'..I miss that show that had Ene Oloja,Sadiq Daba, and a host of others......Was it cock crow at dawn?

  7. Truly, Wisdom is better than knowledge... I don't think it was 200,000 he left with. Once you get to 5million, when going down it should be 1million guaranteed.
