Fact 1: once someone recreates that particular technology, water will become scarce commodity, mark my word! Well except it might not be in this generation.

DeleteThe ocean and sea water you mentioned is saline and makes up about 97% of the earth's water. Before use, it has to undergo desalination. That's doesn't come cheap. The rest of earth's water is in glaciers and hard to access.
Thank you anon 21:00, wait until cars start running on water then you will know that this water that you think is readily available will become scarce. The water that you easily have access to will disappear and the price for water will go up because people will hoard water. Then the rich will have more access to it while the poor will... Well you know the rest of the story.
