@ Davies Remy, are you serious??

@Davies mary please its unhygienic to use tissue paper, infact its dangerous. instead of that why not use napkin and wash with hypo .

    8. There is this pad by Always. You wouldn’t know it’s by Always cos it comes in a big carton and they shop sellers don’t sell in the big carton. It’s for really heavy flow. It’s long and thick. All the way to the front and way past your anus sef. Like you can sleep and scatter your legs at night and nothing will happen. Not all these toy Always in the market.

A pack of 20 costs like 3,500.00. And it can carry you for two months period. You can step down to the toy ones when the flow reduces by the third and final days. You can find it in big supermarkets like Ebeano and co.

That’s what I use especially as person de go work. And it’s very convenient and comfortable.

@Amanda, the problem with longrich pad is that it doesn’t ‘filter’ the blood and it lies on the surface when it’s full. While some are okay with it, i feel somehow seeing it all on the surface.
I just throway my own for one corner.

    15. @ Anon20:52. Send me an email and I will send you a picture of the pad
      shylad06@gmail.com.

If you stay in Lagos go to Ebeano. I think they have a branch in Ikeja and Lekki axis.

@Swag Lafresh, yeah that’s the colour. I saw a woman selliing the carton in one supermarket in Ikoyi and I happened to look inside and that was how I knew it was Always.
She complained that nobody seems to want to buy the carton.
I just advised her to start selling in packs like other places cos no one will buy a whole carton as big as that. On top sey one pack is over 3k. Haba.

I used to get rashes from sanitary pad during my menses. I never knew what was causing it until someone suggested it may be the always pad I was using.

So I changed to another and it was still the same thing. An ex suggested that I try tampon over 6 years ago and that's what I've been using. No regrets.

  41. Tampons are far more comfortable and help prevent getting stained. The important thing is to remember to take them out. The maximum time they should be in there is 6 hours (although scientists say 8 hours but better safe than sorry). Sitting on a sheet of blood is not the neatest feeling in the world so tampons are better with that plug effect.

I am not yet tired of jumping out of bed, gripped by fear of TSS to pull them out so I'll continue 🤣😆. It's wise to have a panty liner or light pad in addition to catch any spillage though.

Stella, thank goodness you survived o!

I love tampons. They may be a bit pricey for Nigerian users though.
What I do is change by 6am when I wake up,change at 2pm lunch time then 10pm before bed. I sleep completely naked on white sheets with no fear.wear my thongs and g strings. I recommend it. if you can feel there is something in your vagina then you havent pushed it in far enough.

You remove it and flush your *** when you suspect it might be getting full, rinse preferably with warm clean water and reinsert. You can sterilize every month too by boiling or soaking in boiling water and detol. Used it for a while. I tell you guys, it's freedom. Let me go and look for it sef😀.

Stella, I bought a huge box on my 1st trip to the UK. I was so excited to try it when I got back to naija. Then, I read an article in Daily Mail of a toxic shock, tampon-related limb loss.
The mighty box is still standing in my room. I use it to threaten my sis, as in 'Will you behave before I use this thing to disappear your left hand!'.
It wasn't cheap so I don't want to throw it away. I stare at it in awe sometimes.

  53. I use tampon and sanitary pad together. I started using tampax 10 years ago after the birth of mu 1st child.
