    2. Nope

Except this man that always locks his door to beat his wife. We begged him but he won't open door. Sometimes, He will order her to kneel and the woman won't even complain or lash out.

The next evening the man and the wife will be chatting and laughing together.

Well I have decided to drink water and mind my business

    4. I'm dealing with one currently. That man is the definition of trouble. NEPA bills he won't pay at all. He keeps bringing electrician to tamper our light when no one is at home. He's full house husband that doesn't do neither except to smoke, drink and quarrel like woman. Everyone in the compound is tired of him including the landlord bcos even house rent he's always owning. Now landlord is tired and he gave them quit notice to vacate his House before June ending. I just pity the poor Wife. She's a Godly good woman but was unfortunate to marry that troublesome man. She's the only managing the household with 30k from Npower still this man will still maltreats her, cheat on her and threaten her with divorce. She's always sad and depressed.

Another neighbour was forming bestie with me when I newly parked into the compound. She asked me to give her my spare keys since I'm always away from home due to work related issues. I gave her my keys not knowing she's always going behind me to steal my foodstuffs, frozen meats etc. Before you say jack my bag of rice is gone, groundnut oil is finished, and some other things will be missing. I never suspected her bcos she's always forming born again sister not knowing she's s crook. One day my friend brought her raw goat meat to my freezer bcos her light was disconnected by NEPA. She came to pick it up after four days only to call me when she got home that someone tear the nylon bag and fetched out of her goat meat. My God!!! I was mad with anger bcos I knew the only person that has my spare was my Neighbour. So she has been stealing from me all this while? Really..... I didn't talk much ooh. I just came back from work and stylishly collected my keys from her. Since then madam started carrying face for me and I didn't even give two fuck about her. Na she carry face tire and started forming bestie again. I just jejely cut her off. No time for eye service jare. Since that time I only face my business and don't mingle with anyone again in that compound.

    5. My own is too long. My husband, I and our two kids packed into a big two bedroom flat, which also have a 3 single room BQ. And there was a man living in one of the self contained BQ in d compound with his wife and 3 teenage kids. When d painter was working in our house, the man asked the painter if we have kids, he said yes, 2 under 5years. Then the man asked him, is the house not too big for them?. All these the painter told my husband when he came. The week we packed in, the man came several times to knock at our door to come and repark, even when d car is not blocking him, he just want the cars arranged in an order he like. And all the time, it was me alone he will meet because hubby has gone out. One day he knocked at our door, I was inside and not properly dressed, so it took me a little time before I came out and when I got out, I overheard him telling the water people to cut the water, that he was knocking and i was just asking who it was. I went to the people and asked what is happening, they said d former occupants were owing money for water. I told them not to cut it, that my husband and I will come to their office on Monday. They agreed and I left them without a word to my neighbour. Since he was already telling them to cut the water. This really pained him. The next day, I did my laundry and dried them on a rope outside. While I was at it, my neighbour passed and I greeted him, he didn't answer. I did again and again, even called out his name, to be sure he heard me. He refused to answer me and entered his house and after a little time, when I came out to dry another batch of washed clothes, I saw my neighbour pushing all my clothes to the extreme end of the rope to dry his 3 pieces of clothes. I weak. Didn't say or do anything. I told my husband when he came back, he was so surprised but said he want us to stay peaceful in d compound so The next day, we both met him and my husband said he want us all to be peaceful. The man shouted, that at his age he will be knocking at our door and I will be asking him who is that all the time. That he did good to come and inform us that they want to cut our water, but I refused to open the door. That he is an elder in the church, he is this, he is that, that d rope is his own and he doesn't want anybody to dry clothes on it, he is minding his business, that pls my husband should tell me not to ever greet him again. My husband said he came for peace , that we should start afresh, he shouted that what does my husband mean, what is afresh, while he walked away. We were even more surprised. So since late last year, I just dey my lane. I dont even do as if he exists. One time he wanted to fams with my husband, I just made it clear that it is not welcome. He now complained that I dont greet him. On Sunday I made up my mind to let it all go. There is nothingin this world. To start afresh and be greeting him. My people, una seemy own neighbour? Lol

    6. One of my neighbour and his wife won't stop fighting, it's becoming worrisome and mentally draining for everyone. They fight with knives, threatening to kill eachother with blood spilled everywhere. After much begging and counselling we've decided to mind our business because next day you'll see them laughing together like they didn't try to kill each other the previous day.

    9. Yes oh... .Our former landlady was something else. It was bad...really really bad.
That was my first time of seeing a man in an emotional abusive marriage. And the man is a chief lecturer oh. That woman was high seriously.
I thank God daily for our current compound...Peaceful can't describe it all and we also live with the landlord (didn't know he will be packing in) because I said I will never live with a landlord again.

    10. My former neighbour will spray some liquid stuff round the house almost everyday. She normally sends her younger brother about 16yrs old or her first child around 9 yrs old. Our flats of three bedroom each are separated with just a wall. Once my flatmate asked the boys what they're spraying, they said it is the blood of Jesus. She normally goes from church to church cos they were experiencing serious financial crises and the husband was owing money here and there even emotionally draining her.

So this liquid substance has different colours. Sometimes, it's reddish other times it's white like pap other times it's water-like. My flatmate was very concerned because he is a pastor, but me I no send but it really pains me anytime they're doing it. The woman said it's for the good of everyone as there are bad omen in the house.

They don't go to church but attend prophets and prophetess house for spiritual solution. Powerful gossips ehn. Herself, her sister , brother and some inlaws with her. Real troublesome people. They've moved out.

Truth is, as an agnostic I believe people get haunted by their past reckless life or bad deeds past. For example, the husband is a serious fraudster. He takes contract and absconds with the money. Almost everyday, different people both men and women, crying and shouting come to ask for their money. The woman is unemployed. In fact, she has never worked all her married life with four children now.

The current occupants are same. All guys, Rapists boys, some are joblesss, stealing things in the area. Truth is, the WORST YES WORST sets of neighbours are UNEDUCATED people. If you're educated, never make friends with UNEDUCATED OR ILLITERATE! Especially if you're a girl. They will use their degraded mentality on you and treat you as if they're better. Your greatest undoing will be accepting their side insults or subs, quickly shun them and stay clear. Or you'll start hearing that you're a prostitute or a thief in the area.

  13. Yes we do. At my parent's house. A very troublesome woman who is a Pastor's wife. This woman will complain of the reflection of the lights from our compound disturbing her. Because of her, we do not pour water through the drainage system because she complains that it makes mosquitoes disturb her. Our house is a fenced two storey building yet this woman finds ways for she and my mom to have a quarrel but my mom is very reserved.
Me, when I visit, i even purposely pour the water and wait for her to come and do her worst but she avoids me.
She used to be close to my family in the past when she was always gaining from my mom. She can send her children to come and collect Soup that she is hungry. She comes around and she wants to pick something when leaving. It became so glaring that she was using my mom and we asked her to stop indulging her. That was how she turned our family to her enemies and personally, I don't care. When we have a celebration and all neighbours come around to help cook, she wont come and wont even congratulate us.
So to answer the question, my mom ignores and stay out of her way. Me, I dare her and she hasn't shown herself.

I ended up packing out of the house without my rent expiring when I had a dream that she was attacking us ( tenants) spiritually - she was furious when she came back from church and found out I had moved out.

I was the only student in the apartment (BQ) others lived in the flats but she made that house a hell for us. Abeg tory long if i start to dey talk.

  17. Had one then in our compound but they have moved out since last year, madam was always shouting on top of her voice irrespective of the time whether its 2am madam would shout on top of her voice to her children and even her husband over small issues as little as who took the remote from the living room, she will shout and shout till you feel it’s something serious or robbery going on, her kids were never happy to come home during holidays or even during asuu strike, her own husband would be back from work but will park his car far from the compound and relax inside his car, with the seats folded down to look like a bed and be chewing on corn and other stuffs(saw him several times and greeted him) oga was always avoiding his own house because of her shouts, our dog never liked her alone in the whole compound and would bark at the sight of her and even cut down her clothes from the rope whenever she washes and spreads them.

Her own case was too much and everyone in the compound celebrated when they finally moved out but then it was strange when the compound was quiet for the first week when they moved outπŸ˜‚ till we all got used to it.

  26. My neighbors are guys. Three professional guys in a three bedroom apartment. I stay alone. An uncle of one of them came to visit. So the same day his girlfriend came over and he came to my house with her. When I opened I thought they both just came to say hello but he said he needed assistance. He needs to spend some time with her and she would stay for just the night and he would wshare the visitors room with her.

I told him I am not in support of that. What I don't do I don't encourage. He said I am a guy and he expects me to understand but I refused. Funny enough I saw him in my dream before he showed up. He brought a girl in the dream that same morning and in the dream he begged me to let him share a room with her.

He wanted to have her in my house and they would both share a room overnight. I am not in support of fornication. So I told him NO!

They left and I didn't know how they did it but honestly I didn't care. Since then I have been going through a lot with them. I greet they don't respond. We don't hang out as before. They use their car to block mine that most times I can't go out. Even if I knock they will claim not to find the keys to their cars. They now keep their smelling garbage close to my balcony. Doing so many things to upset me. These are grown men keeping malice. I ignore most times.

About three weeks ego,a neighbour (a woman) panel beat another neighbour (a man) i was so vexed at the whole thing that i went in and slept off. The man a uniform man had an altercation with the woman where she sells things, the man returned home before her and of course he was sounding drunk and was saying all manner of things about the woman. She came back, overheard him and approached him for a fight, this woman is tall, built and muscular while the man is quite old though calls himself 'young boy'. Before my very eyes, she jerked him, threw him against the wall and finally landed him on the ground followed by heavy blows. Alas the man who also calls himself 'win the cases' lost the 'battle' to a woman

  32. A troublesome neighbor gave me meat in a black nylon bag to help her preserve in my freezer. A few days later she took it. Came back a few minutes later with the meat now in a bowl and told me 'no vex o, the meat no complete'. I asked her what she meant, she said she counted the meat and three pieces was missing.

    Owoowo!

I was stunned. I asked her what she thought happened to the missing meat. She said she didn't know o, she just felt she should tell me. I knew where she was going.
I'd just been to Lafia the week before so my freezer was stocked with assorted meat, why would I want the rubber she called meat? You guys know atakata elo, the kind of meat you chew until you give up and just swallow, You could get 5 kilos for #300? That was the kind of meat this woman was indirectly accusing me of stealing. I forbade it!

I invited her in, opened my freezer. 'madam why will I want three pieces of your meat? She didn't talk.

Somehow, her husband heard from the other neighbors who were present and came to apologize. She never did.
    But I learnt my lesson.
Las las, I thank God for taking me out of that toxic neighborhood.

  35. I remember one time my mum was posted to Onitsha, she shared a rented flat with these family, was doing almost everything for them, paid more than half the rent, utility bills, feeding and what not. Trouble started when my sis and i came for holiday and she transferred majority of the attention to us, these people became jealous and start making things bad for us to the extent of telling their kids to go search my mum newly acquired car, her first car for that matter. Mum found out and locked them up in a police station, she had to move out quickly as they started going diabolical.

  40. Hmmmmmm! I had a neighbour some years back. This guy would always go and be asking our gateman what kind of human being I am, that I don't really associate with anybody, that even when the take light, I would be indoors that why wont i come out and gist? So the gate man tells me all these and I would ignore, the only thing i owe the guy is to greet him every time we see. It was only the two of us living in the compound. So one day I slept and the dream I saw this particular man in my dream inside my room sitting on my bed wearing only boxers. So you know how dream works, I now found myself coming out from my bathroom and to my shock this man was jejeyly sitting on my bed, so I angrily asked him, What are you doing here? Now get out! With authority in that dream. My people immediately i said this, the man disappeared. So now in the morning When I woke up I vividly remembered the encounter in the dream and thought oh it's a dream, but I was wrong! That same morning I met the guy at the corridor and greeted him, this guy did not answer me, shuuuu! I called him by his name and greeted him the second time he did not answer. From that day quarrel from nowhere started between us. The man stopped talking to me or answer to my greetings. That was when I realised that what happened in that dream was not just an ordinary dream but reality. Well the Landlord later gave him quit notice and he left.

  44. I had a neighbour like that. Veeeeery nosey. She sees you with something, she will ask you how much you bought it, where did you buy it (it's not as if she wants to buy o). The first and last time she entered my apartment, she was just chooking head everywhere, I had to warn her when she opened my fridge. That was the last time we said anything to each outselves, till I moved out.

  45. I had a yahoo neighbor ...always showing himself. When bills are brought I pay without asking questions until the day I decided not to pay cos they brought an electrician who almost burnt the house down. I noticed he was low key disrespecting me in front of people until the day I wasnt going to pay and I just heard I get your mate talk. Ehhh??? Im reserved normally but the ABA babe in me came out. I tongue lashed the living hell out of him. Idiot said If I don't pay I go see, I tell am say I want to see and the see I no still see. The fool and his babe then were going round telling people around that I didn't have money. I no talk...the next day called an electrician told him to divide the house into two ..no more sharing of bills and I made sure they heard when I said the retard and his skank will not come to my door for anything. I started showing myself , I repainted the house, did things singlehandedly without involving them. My driver started coming directly to the house to pick me, all my big rich friends and relatives started coming and we will be talking and laughing to their hearing how I would have dealt with them if they tried anything. They apparently thought we dey the same level lol

I now upped it by playing Christian songs very loud early in the morning ...infact I make sure I wake them up even when there is no light unfortunately they had no gen while I had gen and inverter so it was 247 loud music.

There was a time Hallelujah Challenge was on, I will use my speakers in the midnight o. At a point he couldn't take it anymore and moved out before his rent expired. I now went back to my usual quiet sef...till date my other neighbors are surprised cos they didn't know I could be this troublesome. I believe in Love in sharing but there is peace in having your own...dey your dey and I dey my dey but if your dey cross my dey, I go fuck u up with your dey.

I have a new neighbor now and she is cool but this is my last year as a tenant Thank God!

    2. For me, insulting my mum is the deal breaker!
A couple of years ago, someone was being rude to my mom and I was within an earshot. It was at night and she was backing the direction I was coming from so, she never saw the slap coming!
Who knows that kind of slap that the heel of your palm lands on the ears and the tips of your fingers lands on the eye?
Instant deafness and blindness! Like they say, the rest is history...

  48. Ho! On this one l used to be a professional, l would blank you without apologies.Especially when you are too nosy and flirty.
This neighbor kind of liked my hubby and l knew it, us being professionals were doing good.
So one night she called for help for one of her convulsive daughter, as hubby rushed into her apartment he saw he Boobs dangling everywhere (l knew it was deliberate.
And she was the neighborhood Aunty.
She wanted us to be giving her ride to work, l knocked the job.
One time they were having neighborhood rampage right under my Nose,l didn't say a word.
She will be having electric al issues at her apartment, she would wait for my hubby to get back from work to help her, me drew line on the floor and asked my hubby to cross it and move on with her that night. I asked him if he was an electrician.
And the day million boys came to raid at my apartment, she said she didn't know it was at my apartment yet we were just two apartment o! If l were her l wouldn't have said anything, because it was a stupid lie.
Did l take offence ? No, because l was a "blanker"
Yet houses miles away knew it was at my apartment.
Anyhow the boys were chased away by the responsive Police force.
When we were moving l didn't even bid farewell.
This lady did bad things even to her friends that made me lock up on her, without apologies.

  50. I live in a block of 6 flats with 2 flats per floor so I’m on the 2nd floor which is the top floor.

I have pressed the ignore button on ALL but one neighbour. The lady downstairs with 3girls she has cancer and only months to live she just told me this last week. We gist always in person and on WhatsApp. God please heal her because I don’t want her to die.

The rest of the idiots also have kids but the are crackheads summer time na so so weed smell through my windows even in winter sef. Because when they smoke on their balcony it enters my own opened windows.

The lady in the middle flat moved in with 2kids and now has 4kids. She had 2 with her married man bf but they are always fighting as in we are tired. The flat below me use to call police for them but not anymore even if they are killing each other we ALL IGNORE them but na so so fight weekly in the middle of the night and always accusing each other of taking cocaine. We, myself and the lady downstairs that I talk to call her crazy lady because she is in the middle floor flat but you can hear her ALWAYS screaming at her kids. I ignore her ALWAYS infact they know how to ignore me because when she moved in with had a confrontation because when I was at work the lady downstairs told me that this lady went into my shed and was stealing my things.

The idiot across from me has 2kids and is an alcoholic and a crackhead. Whenever I am leaving home to take my son to school if he leaves his house before me when I leave my house all you can smell is crack on the staircase. I went through a year of him have very loud sex every night for 12 months I had to write the fool an anonymous letter which he asked me if it was me and I said no but why will I want to discuss your sex life with you in person madman.

I ignore everybody and don’t greet anyone na oyinbo land we dey. I don’t talk to them unless it is absolutely necessary like they asked me something directly or if they kindly took my delivery for me because I’m the only person that works in this whole flat.

The polish people right bellow me na story for another day abeg. They make me angry last night they were outside till 4am taking all night loudly like are you sick or something don’t you know people are sleeping.

Baba God abeg move me away from this place I hate it here!!!

    1. Please start saving aggressively so you can move to a better apartment and maybe even change zip codes. You can do with far less stress and you don't want such bad influence on your child.
