Family of Lagos Socialite Yeye Olushola Benson Lagos PDP Woman Leader Announce Her Death

This is the official announcement of the death of Yeye Olushola Benson-Oladeinbo, J.P., Lagos State PDP Woman Leader.







Olushola was born in 1965 to the late Prince Emmanuel Akinwunmi Benson of the renowned Benson family of Lagos State. She attended Methodist Girls High School, St. Gregory's College, Lagos State University, and the University of Ilorin.


Until her death, Olushola was a lecturer at the Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu-Ijebu, Ogun State, and an astute leader of the Peoples' Democratic Party. Her community development work focused on myriad areas of women empowerment, poverty alleviation, and the education of the girl-child.


Olushola died peacefully in the early hours of Friday, June 19, 2020 after many years of battling cancer. Her sense of duty and loyalty remained unwavering during those particularly difficult times.

She is survived by her siblings, nieces and nephews, children, and aged mother.

  11. May she rest in peace and may her family be comforted. It must be hard for Mama and the children of the deceased to see her die after she has suffered so much but let them celebrate her life of impact and the memories they shared. We are all heading to where she is now. Let us prepare.
