RE- MOTHERS PASTORS PROPHECY CAUSING DEPRESSION

Dear Stella and BVs,

I thought to share this story of mine for the sake of the poster with the Negative prophecy on marriage in yesterday's IHN.

Some years ago, I finished Law School at the age of 21 ,served and started working and seeing good money by 23 years old, I had my car,a Toyota starlet and life was good.

But guess what? No boyfriend, not to talk of suitor or even husband. Another bad twist,my parents have 6 of us and I am the 5th child . All of my siblings were all married including our last born(he got married at 23).
I suddenly had no job again and had to relocate to my town(North Central Nigeria).

That was when the real show started. Both my immediate elder and younger brothers wives were younger than me and we were all living in my parent's house(a big house). When their friends come calling, you will hear loudly, this is my sister in law, she has not seen husband to marry her sarcastically.
My parents nko, I had tiny respect from them cos of my unmarried status. Chei!I suffered menh!

In the neighborhood, I have always been mistaken as being arrogant, but I am actually an introvert.when I go out,you will hear"chus che, daga kafa ake gane wa(hausa language)meaning "evening newspaper"

I eventually got another less paying job in my town, but even the cleaner(no disrespect meant for the job) will talk rudely to me cos they are married and I am not. Infact, they will call me karuwa(ashawo) Normal scenario in the North.
One day, my elder sister told me to get used to my situation because I am not destined for marriage and will never see husband. Infact, she said she has been told years ago by men of God?( I once sent a chronicle on that)

Anyway,at that point, I focused on my job and started applying for other jobs just to leave my town. I turned to God in prayers and went for 10days seclusion in prayers and fasting (we call it Itikhaf in Islam). That was when I was 29years old.

On the 10th day of my seclusion in prayers after crying to God to give me a job to get out of that town, and to settle me maritally, I had a dream,a vision or a trance. I was given a letter in the dream, also,a bright light descended on me and a voice told me,you will get married at the age of 30, and this is your husband's name.

Joke of the century! believe me,I didn't believe it as powerful as that dream was. Infact,I had no even past boyfriend with that kind of a name and the name is not even a name within my geographic jurisdiction where I can meet anybody like that.

People of God, a week after the prayers, I got a better job but still in my town, 6 months later and exactly a week after my 30th birthday, I got married to a man who has that particular name I was told (in the dream) but the name is his surname. The whole thing was unbelievable but God is not a joke. He has the Master key!

Today, it has been 15 years of marital bliss. Of course,no perfect marriage but I bless God for His grace in my marriage.I will marry my husband all over again and being settled by God Himself,my marriage is divine!

So dear poster, go to God in prayers yourself and reject with prayers all evil, ugly and wicked prophecies concerning your life.Pls ignore all gbaguns and sorry for the long read.
Love and light!

This is positive.....Nice one!!!

I do not trust that anyone has the right to see into anyone's future, that is a scam sold to people...go down on your knees and talk to God.

TEEJAYS CORNER
CRITICISM: A TOOL FOR IMPROVEMENT.

If ever there's one good thing about criticism, I think its ability to enforce change and improvement comes top most. It serves as an appraisal in checkmating people's conduct and behavioral attitude in the public space. Though can be wrongly done if not constructively carried out.

Every individual at one point in time have been criticized over their actions/inactions but the big question is, what effect was the criticism on you?

In 2018, I joined Stella dimoko korkus's blog and was very active in commenting. Having so much love for writing, I indicated interest in having a weekly corner. Being granted, I started writing. As at the time I began writing, my tenses and words construction were bad I mean so terrible to a point Stella once told me if I didn't improve, she won't be posting my corner anymore.

Assuringly, I pleaded with her that I will do all I can to improve. As a caring mother, she knew the only way I will improve is my continuous writing. So she advised me on steps to take in order to get better. While I was on that, I was criticized, mocked, ridiculed and even insulted here severely by most blog visitors each time I dropped comment with a wrong tense or spelling.

Some even called my education a waste of resources but in every attack from them, I didn't resort to hate or retaliating with insult to them for I was always open to correction and would always say 'thanks' to the corrections laced with insults.

Each time I was being laughed at or made jest of, I made sure as I picked the point or correction of that mistake and would say to myself, I won't repeat same mistake twice.

Now understand this.

A good number of them did that with the intent of bullying me into silence or even to run away from the blog and not to sincerely correct me except for few.

They didn't know I came well PREPARED(fร  amรฅro zi kam'si wey kwado). When I finally improved, the chief attacker of them all said "Teejay gbagaun was exaggerated" implying I purposely did it to draw attention and be noticed. Can you imagine? At that point I smiled and said to myself well done, you made it. Know this one thing today, the same people who want you to fail, will always look for an excuse to justify your success.

Do you want to see how good I can be? Then dare me, criticize and challenge me. I love disappointing the naysayers. If a criticism doesn't improve you or make you do better, then I don't know what else will.

I see the Shade..........
I like that you have started using your story to teach some lessons but please you are not perfect yet, there are still some errors and every day we live is a new day to learn......
When you tell you story,do not focus too much on those who do not like you and tried to use your flaws to bring you down...
You are a piece of work in God's hand (we all are) and he is not through with you yet....

All the people who looked down on me now look up to me,albeit a lot of them are older......that's life!
All the ones who cannot take that Stella is somewhat popular devised severally ways to make me feel my Job was belittling,my dear na here we dey.

I am happy for you Teejay,i can smell a new you and i am excited about this change...Be positive and look ahead...last last na here i go find wife for you and you might end up marrying one of those who criticised you........lol

    Miracle in cell no 7,Hmm.
Well,I guess it's different strokes for different folks, I didn't find it as emotional as it was portrayed here, to the extent some of you said you were weeping uncontrollable. It was emotional no doubt but not that too emotional for me.
As a matter of fact, the film made me happy, the innocence of the Young man's heart ,especially when he laughed, the part that really touched me deeply was when the older man decided to go on his behalf, I was like, waoh! Jesus!

But it got me thinking, perhaps everything happens for a purpose. I remembered Esther in the bible, the chapter that says for 'such a time like this ......' I knew for a fact that the presence of that older man in the same cell with that guy wasn't coincidence, it wasn't fate,it wasn't luck,it was God,it was divine, it was destiny. That was God who knows the end from the beginning.
Maybe its true when they say everything happens for a reason, maybe its time we learn to overlook the present and see what God is doing in the future, maybe, just maybe, because we do not know which one is working for our good.

I watched a Nigeria movie, My little Champions. The little girl's speech left me heartbroken.
It's about a girl on a wheel chair, who went for a national quiz competition all the way from Port Harcourt to Lagos and on getting there the organisers refused her participation, they were like how would she represent the country in Paris if she wins, that other counties would be presenting 'able' candidates and they would be presenting a disabled girl to represent their own country, that it wasn't possible.
Infact, the film was an eye opener to the plight of the disabled, the words we don't say but exist through our actions.
I really want to talk about some disabled ladies I've interacted with and what their main challenge really is,maybe tomorrow.
But let's all learn to be kind to anyone out there who is disabled one way or the other.

Cookie,I have watched films that I didn't even know when the tears started to drop, that film was just nice and that's all.

  8. I saw an unrealistic movie(in my opinion) yesterday on AMYoruba
A pregnant woman tricked her husband into a make-belief that he is mentally unbalanced, this cost him his job and reputation then he resolved to teach her a lesson...
Now the lesson is what I termed unrealistic
After the whole make-belief scene, the husband resulted to sell her wife just to teach her a lesson
Actually he wanted to use her for ritual but the herbalist man (he is rich) being an impotent use that as an opportunity to buy the wife with the pregnancy to save his face..
The husband sold her, collected money and ran off abroad, as God would have it, he got deported
He now started looking for his wife just because he had nothing to fall back and he thought the herbalist was illiterate..
They called their family member to resolve the issue, thinking the wife would accept his husband but for where
Babe went for the herbalist and sent his deportee cum broke and jobless husband out
Now is that scenario possible like in real life oo

Stella, your meme is the truth. Elon Musk is right about people confusing being a graduate degree holder to being intelligent.

  26. "The same people who want you to fail, will always look for an excuse to justify your success". This is so true. A new boss was transferred to my department. My friend, we both work in the same company different department. Told me she felt pity for me. She talked about how wicked the woman was and how nothing impressed her. No matter the project plan you submit the woman is never interested. She told me everyone failed under the woman supervision just like her and she felt sorry for me. Anyways it was my turn. I promised to try my best and shock this woman. I had sleepless nights, did enough research. It was stressssssful. Chai!

I executed the project under the woman's supervision and she rated me highly to the surprise of this friend. This boss, She praised me to stupor. Instead of this friend to congratulate me and say "babes you try o" she said "That woman must have became a born again Christian or she was in a good mood when you submitted your project for her to praise you like these". That comment was her way of diminishing my effort and indirectly telling me my success was due to the woman's mood and changed lifestyle and not my own hard work. That her comment stuck with me. Well, I was later transferred to head a new branch and I deleted the friend number off my phone.

None of them gave me thesame name or description of my supposed future partner then. Shebi na me carry my two legs go there.

That incidents made me realized that my God is not a confuse being or our politicians who has Masters in lying. I borrow myself sense and went to HIM directly, no regret till date. I believe I know better now, all thanks to SDK blog.

Teejay, congrats once more but I need some of your secrets on how you over came your tenses and word construction challenges.
It always give me up whenever I took a bold step to write. I initially shy away from commenting here but a God-sent anonymous gave me confidence to go ahead and always take note of corrections. Which I'm forever grateful of.
