    1. One thing with power is that when you taste it, you won’t want to leave it! These political ‘god fathers’ are the people who have ruled and tasted power and left but still want to remain in power but because our constitution only allows eight years they now look for a way to rule forever by building a monarchy where they keep ruling through their puppets. The ‘god sons’ themselves too are equally power hungry and fall out with their god father because they are also looking forward to build their own monarchy if they eventually leave power. In Africa every politician is a Robert Mugabe that wants to rule in wheel chair. Look at Babangida, Abacha, Obasanjo all wanted to be life presidents, but fate one way or the other stopped them. You see what happened in Imo state where Rochas came in by telling Imo people to vote him that he will rule for one term, Imo people in desperation to remove Ohaji after Ohakim’s one term voted Rochas after his one term, he ‘forgot’ his one term promise and went for second term after that he now wants to remain governor while also going for senate. He decided to impose his son in-law on Imo people, even though Imo people resisted him and voted his in-law out. This same Oshiomhole used Supreme Court to foster Uzodinma on the Imo people. Oshiomhole must’ve made the statement above because he does not want to be under his godfather but he himself got into power and now wanted to remain powerful forever. The likes of Tinubu are the indirect Mugabes of Africa, he has been ruling Lagos for about twenty years now and still is not backing down. He uses loyal puppets to front but he makes the decisions and policies while his puppet carries out his orders. The state funds and everything are in his control while he gives his puppets little from it. Ambrose at some point controlled the funds not letting the master do his thing and he was let go. Tinubu is Oshiomhole’s role model, he wants to be the jagaban of Edo state, I’m happy the way they clipped his feathers and tail. We await their Supreme Court shenanigans, because I don’t think they will back down knowing that in Nigeria anything can happen.

  7. Stella betrayal can push you to the extreme. He picked Godwin Obaseki over and above his trusted friends , aides and associates. He was advised against his choice, people told him the Obaseki family are known for betraying others, he didn't listen. he pushed Obaseki down the throat of all believing Godwin Obaseki will continue from where he stopped. Godwin Obaseki betrayed the trust and abandoned all projects started by Oshiomhole. Obaseki moved against members and leaders of the party and they were all going to Oshiomhole to intervene. Oshiomhole pleaded with Obaseki to respect the leaders and members. Then the blame game started, party elders started blaming Oshiomhole for imposing Obaseki on them and making them use their personal resources to support Obaseki. Guess what even Rasaq Bello that was following Obaseki to Hosa Okunbo's house in Abuja to beg for funds was ignored immediately Obaseki won in 2016. Hosa Okunbo who financed Obaseki's election was also ignored. This guy knelt down for hours begging Obaseki to respect party elders and settle with Oshiomhole.

    3. If he meant what he said, then he wouldn't have even pished Obaseki down anybody's throat the first time.
He promised to step down and never look down right? why then did he carry Obaseki around?
Na wetin he dey find he see. Serves him right!

    4. And with all these u wrote, does it potray that Oshiboy kept to his promise of not intervening in the states politics after he leaves office or not? In as much as you're entitled to ur opinions, pple like you are the reasons these politicians keep taking the pple for a ride. Obaseki did this, Obaseki did that! Let me ask you, who does the governor owe allegiance to- the godfathers or the people? Godfatherism is one of the many reasons Nigeria isn't progressing as a nation and it's a shame that you support it!
Thiefnubu collects 10% from Lagos State IGR every month (excluding the compulsory levies LGs and parastatals pay him). The entire staff of the state share 5% statutory allocation. Lagos generates abt #40b every month (pre-covid). Now tell me, if all those #4B he collects every month are reinvested to the state, won't Lagos be better off?
U may be an APC supporters but realise that when push comes to shove, na everybody go bear am!

    5. Cool dude? How much is Tinubu collecting from your state treasury. You believe every trash you hear from beer parlour and dustbin. Show proof that Tinubu is collecting a kobo from Lagos without working for it. Why not focus on your state and the idiotic thieves in your state. Some you have governors who are not doing anything to develop your states but you won't think of how to bring development to your backward states.

I am from Edo, l worked and retired in the Edo civil service.l said what l said about Oshiomhole and Obaseki, if you are not okay with it run along. Unlike you who have no stake in the development of edo state, l have a stake in it. I was in the civil service for 30 years working for the good of Edo state. I doubt you are even up to 30.

Again Obaseki betrayed Oshiomhole, you sound like the type that will do same to those around you. Ozuo

    6. Alexander this your epistle just indicted Oshiomhole for 'BETRAYING' HIS OWN WORDS on "killing" Godfatherism when he foisted Obaseki on Edo State.

If he had lived up to his words by steering clear of 'politricks' in the first term, the choice of the people would've emerged winner from the onset.

Well, politics in Nigeria is a GAME OF TRICKS - LIES AND DECEIT.

    7. Alexander, ur comment irks of anger and unfortunately, u seem like an unhappy person. U judge pple's age, residence and accomplishment on a blog, without even knowing abt dm.
For ur info, I'm from Lagos. I stay in Lagos and work with Lagos. I doubt if you've ever heard of Alpha Beta Consulting (ABC). Congratulations on ur retirement but please, let wisdom reflect in ur age!

    9. @Alexander, I don't want to argue with you about Oshiomole and Obaseki, but I tell you what @Cool dude said about Lagos' Tinubu are facts. The time my firm worked for LIRS we got to know alot of things, this is not about hating on anybody. @Cool dude, I know ABC very well, and I understand what you're trying to say.

Say no to godfatherism in Nigeria.

    10. Alexander, you indicted yourself this time @"Again Obaseki betrayed Oshiomhole."

This shows you are an Oshiomhole loyalist and not an Edo State loyalist.

I am Anon 14:51 and neither from Edo State nor Lagos State.

Please, hold political leaders and public office holders accountable for your country to be better.

    11. But oshiomole didn't fix roads in esan land, the road in ekpoma for instance is a no no, as a leader osho failed please. And as far as Edo state is concerned we don't want godfatherism. #spotremover#

    12. Alexander your hypocrisy is showing! So you can dismiss Cool Dude's comment about Tinubu as "beer parlour talk," yet you want him and everyone to believe all the b.s lies you call 'history" that just spewed about Obaseki and his family, right? No wonder you people love OshioPIKIN. It's the same hypocrisy spirit that ties you both together

  9. Y'all wanna hear a profound secret? You can try all you want, but it is very difficulties to eliminate godfathers totally. You will only trade one for another. Edo got Oshobaba in place of Anenih. Now that Oshobaba is out, guess who the new godfather of? Nyesom Woke. Its just the nature of politics.
