Shops/stores and properties worth millions of naira were burnt down in a fire out break in the late hours of Wednesday February 24th at Marine base plank shed, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The cause of the fire outbreak which is still unknown, started at around 11.00pm,and most stores were burnt down to ashes.
According to an eyewitness
"No one was able to save even the least pin from their stores, goods and properties, machines worth millions were destroyed to ashes. When we contacted the fire service department, they said no water and we were ignored. Everyone in the community battled with the high flame fire for a long period of time until it was reduced
This is so sad, at such a difficult time.
ReplyDeletethat port Harcourt already ridden with touts and cultist. more jobless youths unleashed on the community. Too many cult killings abeg. I dont like that town at all. food is so expensive. the natives are just full of mouth, talk too much and have nothing. the houses are funny and rubbish traffic.
ReplyDeleteGod! I heard this is the third one in five days. They need to look for the cause of this fire incidence that's burning people's sweat overnight to avoid future occurrence.
ReplyDeleteWorse, their is little or no insurance to cover for this; government won't even provide meaningful help.
Sad, people's livelihood gone like that.
ReplyDeleteTheir governor gave sokoto state 500 million during their own fire let's wait and see if sokoto state government will pay them a visit, South West governors always licking ass.
