Sanwo-Olu gave the ultimatum on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 while on a tour of the ongoing red line rail project.
One of the places the governor visited is the Agege Station, where he addressed the traders.
According to him the whole tracks will be walled off completely.
“It is government road that’s why government built everything, it is for transportation, it is not for market. I have given you just two days, you can’t stay here, it’s not possible I have told you because we don’t want anybody to die.
“Once the train starts operations it will be plying here always and we don’t anyone to die so that’s it.”
Early this month Governor Sanwo-Olu flagged off the commercial operations train service in the state by riding on the maiden passenger operation on the Blue line rail from Marina Terminal to Mile-2 Station.

It's not only the traders that need to leave, that place is the hub of beggars, it'll be an eyesore if after completion of the project those beggars still stay around.
ReplyDeleteThey won't leave when government comes for them now they will start crying
ReplyDeleteHonestly the governor is right on this one, they should vacate that place before the day he gave them..some stubborn ones will still want to try him to see what he will do,then they will want to start blaming the government for there own foolishness..
ReplyDeleteIt is well, for once i see Sanwo Olu with action
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm
ReplyDeleteIt is well with us in this country shaaa
See the effort he's taking to explain to them but they won't go until the government use force and they'll be crying
ReplyDeleteAlthough they need to earn a living, but safety comes first. Only the living celebrate.
