The Police Command in Enugu State says it has raided hideouts of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and its Eastern Security Network, ESN, arm in the Akwuke axis of Enugu metropolis. The Command’s Spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, said in a statement on Sunday that the Police conducted the raid on Saturday at about 2:30 a.m, leading to the killing of two members of the group.

An Islamic cleric, Oluwafemi Idris, has been arrested by police operatives in Ondo State after being caught with fresh human parts in the state. According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, Idris was nabbed alongside two other suspects identified as Samuel Kutelu and Babatunde Kayode in the Akoko axis of the northern senatorial district of the state, following an intel received over the ritualistic activities of the cleric.

The 36 states governors and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, have been given a one-week ultimatum by the Socio-Economic Right and Accountability Project to provide the loan agreements and spending details of the loans obtained by their states and the FCT.
