The decision of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje to resign from his position has been attributed to alleged move by former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso to join the ruling party.
A source privy to the development whispered to Daily post on Friday night that Ganduje’s move was sequel to Kwankwaso’s plan to decamp from the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP to the ruling APC.
According to the source, Kwankwaso is expected to join APC “any moment from now, except he changes his mind again but as of today, the arrangement has been made for that to happen”.
“It looks like they are sworn enemies, the defection of Kwankwaso is very important to the APC, especially as 2027 is concerned, but Ganduje has vowed that he won’t welcome him into the party so he has to step aside”.
