DiddyGATE Trial - Week 4 Days 2 And 3 --- A Witness Gets Immunity Or Goes To Jail For Lying

Guys, the courtroom drama won't stop.

The names of celebrities like Ray J, Beyonce, Rihanna were brought up.
But before that, something unusual happened in court on Tuesday.

As Diddy walked into the courtroom, a woman screamed "Diddy, these mo'fckas ​are laughing at you" and "it's not right what they’re doing to him!"

Two people had to wrestle her out.

We also learnt that Diddy paid $100k to the InterContinental hotel, hoping it'd make the Cassie ass@*lt footage go away.
On Wednesday, they brought a forensic video expert to analyse the ass@°¥lt video.
The guy analysed the video frame by frame.
I don't want to get into the science of it all.
However, the defence argued that some of the timestamps in the video were inconsistent.

For example, it's showing 2:00 in one frame, and in the next frame it's showing 2:07.
You get?
Diddy's team claimed the video was altered.
But the forensic guy was able to prove that there were different surveillance cameras in the hotel.
The time stops if a camera is unable to pick up motion.
Hence, the varying timestamps in the collective footage.
So the defence failed on that one.

But we gained new knowledge about surv cameras! 

Afterwards, Cassie's friend Bryana Bongolan gave her testimony.
The prosecution gave her immunity right there on the stand before she could talk. However, if she lied she could go to jail.

Bryana said she met Cassie when she was dating Diddy and noted that their relationship was very volatile.
She would see her with black eyes and bruises.
She said she wasn't a fan of Diddy.

It took a year before she met him, after Cassie begged.
They'd hang out at Cassie's.
Most of the time she brought dr∆gs and they'll all get high.
One time, Diddy saw a photo of them on IG and called Cassie to know their whereabouts.

She told him they only went shopping.
Then he sent them a list of all the places they'd been that day.
Bryana said was alarmed, like how did he track their every move?

"Have you seen Diddy and Cassie being violent?"
"He'd bang on the door, walk in, and throw a knife in Cassie's direction, she'd pick it up and throw it back."
"After that he'd leave and everything will go back to normal." Those were her words.
"Did you call the police?"
"No, I was scared of him"
"Would you do drugs with Cassie without Diddy?"
"Yes, once a week. Weed, coke, ketamine."

She said they both wanted to stop and be better people but it was so hard because there were so many drugs around.
One time, her, Cassie and Diddy were in a beach house in Malibu.
(These people were really living posh lives. Jetting off to exotic locations, chilling, and getting dr∆gged up)

While having a photoshoot with Cassie there, Diddy came up behind her and said "B€€¢°h I'm the devil and I can keel you."
She said she was too high to react.
Another time, she stood on Cassie's 17th-floor balcony, taking in the view.
Out of nowhere Diddy grabbed her from behind by her b00-b, lifted her up over the balcony rail, and told her repeatedly "you know what you did b##ch."
She said she didn't know her offence.

(I think some of Diddy's actions might have been withdrawals from dr∆gs).
Then he flung her on the furniture on the balcony.
Cassie stood in disbelief as he laughed and walked out.
While Bryana was in a lot of pain.

(They pulled up a photo of a big, nasty bruise on Bryana's leg from the balcony incident. I'm here for a witness with receipts. Unlike our girl Mia)
After the incident, her, Cassie and Diddy were still hanging out, the last time they hung out was on January 2nd, 2018.

"Why so specific about the date?"
"Because I tattooed it on my neck, I wanted to make a commitment to myself to get sober"
"Tell us what really happened"
She explained that they were all at a hotel and did 8 hours of ketamine (blood of Jesus!)
That's when she said she's had enough.

She claimed she suffers paranoia and nightmares from the balcony incident.
They asked why she filed her lawsuit, she said, "I'm seeking for justice and we're looking at $10m for damages."

BRYANA'S CROSS EXAMINATION

One Nicole, Diddy's defence attorney did the questioning.
The defence applied their usual tactics of nitpicking and firing questions from different angles.
Nicole goes,
"You testified that if you tell the truth you get immunity and if you lie you lose it. Who gets to determine if you lie?"

Bryana said "the prosecution"
(Nicole is implying that her testimony is unreliable because she's cooperating with the prosecution to keep her immunity intact).

I thought it was a smart way to prove to the jury that she could be biased. Brilliant lawyer 
"You did a lot of dr∆gs with Cassie, correct?"
"Yes"
"I know you mentioned a few drugs, tell us and the jury what ketamine does"
"It opens your mind"
"And cocoa puff... Tell us what it does." (First time hearing that)
"It's like a mixture of everything the weed and coke gives you."
Nicole's point was, her and Cassie were both j√nkies before Diddy came into the picture.
So why make it seem like he's the reason for anything.
"Isn't it true that you sent Cassie to a dr∆g dealer?"
(Acts like she doesn't remember)

"What's the name of the dr∆g dealer?"
She hesitates and reluctantly says, "Ray J"
(The court screamed whoooooa! Singer Brandy's brother. I see why he's been everywhere saying free Diddy)

The defence asked, "Who is Ray J?"
Bryana said, "It sounds like that singer guy, but I don't know if that's him." (Seriously?)
"Did you tell the government that you sent Cassie to Ray J?"
Bryana:
Nicole took things to a new angle,
"You know that womenswear brand you had with Cassie, it didn't do well, right?"
"Uhm... I don't remember"
"It didn’t work because you were competing against people like Beyoncé? And Rihanna?'' (defence being petty)
"Yes"
Nicole continues, "you couldn't do your job because you were getting high everyday"
Bryana:
Nicole: You met with the government and didn't tell them that Diddy threatened you and said he'd kill you, right?
Bryana: I didn't want to tell them everything
You can't control how the defence angles the question. They do that to leave a witness frazzled.
"You told the government that Diddy and Cassie would have knife fights?"
"Yes"
"Yet, you felt safe, huh?"
The defence said,
"Today you said the beach house death threat happened during a photoshoot, but told the government Diddy made the threat at a party."

Bryana said she didn't remember.

"You realize there are note takers at these meetings with the government, right?"
Bryana:
"You ran out of money at some point.
Isn't it true that part of your income to pay your rent was reliant upon Cassie buying drugs from you?"
Bryana:
"You told the feds while on the balcony you were facing the house and SAW Diddy charging at you.
But now you said he came from behind and grabbed your b_0-0b as you were admiring the view"
"Uhm, I... I don't remember"
"Isn't it the first time you're implying that he seshu@lly assa'¥lted you?"

Bryana:
In my opinion, I think she's telling the truth.
Just that Diddy has a top-notch legal team that fishes out all the small details and discrepancies, in a bid to make a witness look st∆pid before the jury.
