EX Gov Peter Obi Submits One-Term Proposal To EX VP Atiku-led Coalition

‎The National Coordinator for Obidient Movement Worldwide, Dr Yunusa Tanko, on Tuesday, disclosed that the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, has submitted his single-tenure proposal to the opposition coalition for consideration.

Tanko made the revelation during the conferment of a chieftaincy title of ‘Sarki Maskan’ (War Hero) on the former Anambra State governor and a commendation letter in recognition of his selfless service and dedication to the Pantami community in Gombe.

‎Tanko confirmed that Obi’s four-year single tenure proposal has formally been submitted to the opposition coalition being championed by opposition figures like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai and former Senate President David Mark for scrutiny.

  1. The key persons in that new party are a no no. Why not turn the obedient movement to a party? Register it and we will continue to give you our full support.

Why mingle with the same set of corrupt...

    2. So for you there is something new about the new party or the same old PDP member that just want power back in deceitful manner.

  3. HE Peter Obi as an Igbo man cannot get to the Presidency directly by being the Presidential Candidate of a party. The average Hausa or Fulani will NEVER vote an Igbo man as President in present day Nigeria. If Obi indeed wants to rule Nigeria someday, he can only get there via the Goodluck Jonathan style I.e becoming a Vice President.

  4. This is a very desperate move, and it also means that it is not about the people or about salvaging the nation, but about him and him alone. Just to achieve a personal goal and ambition.

  5. Someone that needed 8 years to lead one of the smallest states in Nigeria with net emigration year after year now has a magic wand to fix a whole Nigeria in 4 years? Let's be serious now! OBJ, GEJ all promised 4 years. It was in the car when they were swearing him in in 1999 that the the PDP chairman realised Baba had no exit plan even after 8 years. GEJ said he wanted to go but if he didn't run, Nigerians will feel "one kind". Nobody will get there and want to leave at all. This is Mr Obi accepting that he won't get that swarm of votes based on the agitation of 2023. Will Atiku tell himself this truth now that there is no cabal backing him in the villa?

The second option is to run as VP to Atiku who will be 80 this year, another YarAdua/ GEJ kind of situation, meaning the North is at risk of losing out and the country in chaos - We're still dealing with the 2011/15 fallouts.

It will also be interesting to watch the constellation of ex-formers looking to contest under ADC to have a real idea how things will be.
